Speaking to the delegation, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong (Chairman of the Council of Can Tho University) said that on this occasion, Can Tho University wishes to cooperate with Russian institutes and universities in the fields of tourism and cultural exchange, science , technology and digital transformation, training of high-quality human resources, etc.

Can Tho University proposed expanding research cooperation and technology transfer in fields such as information technology, cyber security, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, new materials, aquaculture technology, renewable energy and carbon emission reduction models.

Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong affirmed that Can Tho University is ready to work with Russian partners to build joint laboratories, implement joint research projects, and apply scientific results in practice in the Mekong Delta.

First Vice Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation AV Yatskin acknowledged and highly agreed that he will be a bridge to introduce a number of Russian universities to cooperate with Can Tho University, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence and agriculture , aiming to research and produce products that are good for human health.

Mr. AV Yatskin hopes that through the National Assembly and relevant organizations, Vietnam will research and implement Russian language teaching in high schools to create favorable conditions for young people to study in Russia or conduct research projects with Russian schools and institutes.
