Within the framework of Jamaica Diplomacy Week 2025, on March 12, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba and Jamaica Le Quang Long officially presented his credentials to Governor General of Jamaica Patrick Allen and had high-level meetings to promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
At the solemn ceremony of presenting the Letter of Credence in the capital Kingston, Ambassador Le Quang Long conveyed the greetings and regards ofPresident Luong Cuong to Governor-General Patrick Allen and the Government and people of Jamaica.

Ambassador Le Quang Long emphasized that Vietnam always attaches importance to the friendly relationship with Jamaica, and proposed that the two sides implement specific measures such as increasing delegation exchanges at all levels, coordinating at multilateral forums, and expanding cooperation in the fields of economics and climate change response.
Governor-General Patrick Allen appreciated Vietnam's goodwill, affirmed that Jamaica is ready to promote dialogue and comprehensive cooperation, and expressed his hope that the two countries will soon realize their cooperation potential, especially in the context of global challenges requiring international solidarity.

On the occasion of the visit, Ambassador Le Quang Long met and discussed with Jamaican Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Kamina Johnson Smith about measures to promote trade cooperation, especially the import and export of key products such as agricultural products, textiles from Vietnam and minerals and pharmaceuticals from Jamaica.
In addition, the two sides also shared experiences in responding to climate change and pledged to support each other at international organizations such as the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement.
