Dak Lak focuses on building new rural areas

In recent years, Dak Lak province and the Steering Committee of the province's National Target Programs have focused on directing and issuing many documents to implement the New Rural Program (NTM).

The Party Committee and local authorities actively organize to disseminate the purpose and content of the Program; socio -political organizations and unions mobilize members to participate in improving the quality of campaigns such as: Farmers compete in good production and business, Skillful mass mobilization, Dak Lak Youth join hands to build new rural areas, Sustainable poverty reduction... Propaganda work continues to be promoted with many diverse and rich forms, focusing on good models, good practices, and typical examples in implementation.

The emulation movement "Dak Lak joins hands to build new rural areas" has been strongly responded and implemented throughout the province. The majority of people actively participated in contributing money, labor, site clearance with support from the State to build spacious, clean and civilized rural infrastructure. The results of implementing specialized programs in the period of 2021 - 2025 such as One Commune One Product (OCOP); improving the quality and effectiveness of implementing security and order criteria; strengthening environmental protection, food safety and rural clean water supply, digital transformation, developing rural tourism in building new rural areas, science and technology serving new rural construction have many positive changes.

Training, coaching, fostering knowledge, skills, expertise, and improving capacity for staff working in the construction of new rural areas have been strengthened. The Department of Science and Technology has researched, transferred, applied science and technology, results of scientific research topics and projects and developed provincial technology in the field of supporting agriculture and rural development in the province. Notably, many OCOP models based on the community in ethnic minority areas have been successfully built, applied and transferred a number of technological processes in cattle breeding, crossbreeding local cattle, improving goat herds, and raising commercial goats; applied new technology Aquamimicry in intensive farming of tilapia, methods of seed production and commercial farming of snakehead fish, red-tailed catfish; rainbow trout, sturgeon, etc. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quy, owner of a 5-hectare farm in Cu M'gar commune, said that he has been growing durian since 2017 and has been harvesting for 5 years. Due to thorough investment, meticulous care, regular research, improvement of scientific knowledge, and effective application, productivity has increased.

The development of the digital economy has changed the perception and traditional ways of people and households about consuming products in digital space, e-commerce platforms, and the market has expanded not only within the locality but also to other provinces and the whole country. The telecommunications network has been invested and developed widely to all areas of the province. The proportion of people who have access, guidance, training and equal use of essential services and have bank accounts is increasing, and people's lives are improving.

The Party Congresses of many communes in Dak Lak province set the goal of striving to build localities that meet the new rural standards in the 2025-2030 term. Building new rural areas is a key political task that needs to be carried out persistently, regularly and continuously, "having a starting point, but no ending point", creating a strong change in quality, suitable for the context of the country entering a new era.

The planning of the new rural areas must have inheritance, inter-regional vision and promote local advantages, in accordance with the planning of higher levels and the socio-economic development orientation of the province. Along with further enhancing the role and responsibility of Party committees, authorities at all levels and the entire political system, it is necessary to continue researching and perfecting the system of policy mechanisms, promptly removing difficulties and obstacles, promoting communication work, promoting the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, strengthening solutions to mobilize resources, prioritizing investment in difficult areas, ensuring concentration, efficiency and avoiding dispersion to speed up the progress and effectiveness of the Program. At the same time, strengthen inspection, examination, supervision, take preventive measures, promptly stop negative manifestations, waste, and strictly handle violations during the implementation process.
