Dak Lak completes construction of 1,200 houses for households with housing difficulties

Implementing the policy of the Ministry of Public Security , Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee and Decision No. 766/QD-UBND dated March 13, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee on promulgating the Project to support housing construction for poor households, households with housing difficulties, policy families, and ethnic minorities in the province (Project 766), Dak Lak Provincial Police have completed the construction of 1,200 houses and handed them over to people for use.

The number of households supported to build houses is 1,200, including 1,098 poor households, 35 policy households, 67 ethnic minority households with many contributions to the work of building the movement of All people protecting national security.

In the past time, Dak Lak Provincial Police have advised the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to issue documents directing implementation, especially documents directing and guiding districts, towns and cities to create favorable conditions to support households in converting land use purposes, ensuring legality for housing construction. In addition, Dak Lak Provincial Police have established a Steering Committee, a Steering Committee Support Team, assigned specific tasks to each member; established a Working Group directly directed by a Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, regularly inspected the construction progress, quality of works, and advised on solving arising problems.

Dak Lak Provincial Police coordinated with agencies, departments, branches and localities to actively promote Project 766 in many forms such as through mass media, social networks, leaflets, oral propaganda... so that people clearly understand the humanistic value of the Project; propagate and mobilize people to voluntarily participate in the process of building houses and participate in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level. In addition, individuals participating in the implementation of Project 766 actively posted and shared on social networking sites beautiful images and efforts of the forces in the process of supporting people to build houses, contributing to improving the effectiveness of propaganda work on the humanistic meaning of the Project.

The total cost of implementing the project is 96 billion VND (equivalent to 80 million VND/house). Of which, the Ministry of Public Security mobilized support of 60 billion VND; the Standing Committee of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee agreed to support counterpart funds from the provincial budget of 24 billion VND; districts, towns and cities supported 12 billion VND. Currently, agencies, units, businesses and individuals supporting the construction are coordinating with the Provincial Police to complete the procedures for settlement and capital reimbursement according to regulations.

This is the largest housing construction project for the poor ever in the area, practically celebrating the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province (November 22, 1904 - November 22, 2024).
