This project is sponsored by Intimex Dak Nong Joint Stock Company and sustainable coffee consumption partner JDE Peet's.
Nearly 200,000 seedlings of various types were provided to people for replanting and intercropping in coffee growing areas in Dak Nong province.
On this occasion, TMT Consulting Joint Stock Company provided nearly 200,000 seedlings of various types, including coffee and forestry trees, to people in Krong No and Dak Glong districts.
Seedlings are selected based on a survey of actual production needs and local farming conditions. The total planned area for new planting and replanting is about 200ha.
Coffee varieties are selected to ensure quality and suitability for the project's production areas.
This is the first year of the 5-year Sustainable Coffee Production Project towards emission reduction and meeting EU anti-deforestation regulations in Dak Nong.
Supporting seedlings helps people have more conditions to develop production, restore ecosystems towards reducing emissions and adapting to climate change.
Over the past time, businesses such as JDE and Intimex Dak Nong have continuously accompanied farmers, investing in core, long-term values, including sustainable livelihoods and environmentally friendly agricultural ecosystems in Dak Nong.
The Sustainable Coffee Production Project towards Emission Reduction and Meeting EU Anti-Deforestation Regulations has initially brought positive results in Dak Nong.
Through seedling distribution, the project hopes to contribute to improving people's income and livelihoods, promoting solutions to restore ecosystems, protect forests, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and move towards sustainable agricultural development.
