"Cherry, apple and blueberry are 3 Washington fruits that Klever Fruit has introduced to the Vietnamese market for many years. Coincidentally, the flowers of these 3 fruits are all white. When they bear fruit, cherries and apples are brilliant in red. The land of Washington state creates an interesting blend of attractive appearance and unforgettable flavor, this is a perfect symphony" - Mr. Hai shared more.
Washington state exporters and growers want to bring their fruits closer to consumers in Vietnam.
“Washington’s partnership with Klever Fruit is perfect because Klever Fruit is known as a premium imported fruit brand with a focus on quality and food safety, which is what makes Washington state fruit famous,” said Rianne Ham, Director of International Marketing for the Washington State Department of Agriculture.
Through Klever Fruit, export businesses, garden owners, and fruit growers in Washington state wish to expand and bring Washington state fruit closer to consumers in the Vietnamese market.
On the sidelines of the event, Ms. Amy Nguyen (Dragonberry Produce Company) - a fruit distributor in the US said that she had traveled from North to South and found that Vietnamese agricultural products in general, and Vietnamese fruits in particular, are very rich and diverse. However, if Vietnamese fruits want to conquer American customers, specifically Washington state consumers, they must reorganize production facilities to meet GlobalGAP standards, limit pesticide spraying, etc.
"We often say that the US market is difficult, but that's not really the case. Difficult here means that they require products to be safe and ensure quality for consumers," Ms. Amy Nguyen emphasized.
According to Ms. Rianne Ham, Vietnam is one of the state's leading agricultural export markets.

Ms. Amy Nguyen gave advice: For Vietnamese agricultural products in general, and Vietnamese fruits in particular, to be exported in large quantities and be successful in the US market, the most important thing is to ensure quality and safety. We must ensure good quality for consumers as well as for our own use, only then can we be successful.
"The potential for exporting Vietnamese fruits to the US is still very large. Vietnamese fruits are delicious, such as lychees, which are excellent. However, to be successful in the US market, the biggest difficulty is still ensuring quality," added Ms. Amy Nguyen.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , the world's processed fruit and vegetable market is large, forecast to reach about 392 billion USD by 2025. With the advantage of being a country with abundant supply, Vietnam will have a foothold in the international market when many businesses participate in sustainable value chains.
