To complete the synchronous connection of the traffic system in Dam Ha commune, at the end of 2024, Dam Ha district approved the investment policy for the project to renovate and upgrade the road from Dam Buon hamlet intersection to Xom Giao hamlet intersection. The road is 800m long, 6m wide, paved, has drainage, and a solar lighting system, making it more convenient for people to travel and transport goods and agricultural products.
Determining the land acquisition and clearance work is an important task, but also very difficult, because land is a valuable asset, donating a part of the land left by our ancestors is a concern of many people. The Front Work Committee of Dam Buon village "went to every alley, knocked on every door" to propagate the purpose, meaning, and practical benefits for the people when the road is expanded. Thanks to that, in a short time, 37 households in the village voluntarily donated more than 3,000m2 Land and dismantle assets on land to hand over the site, creating conditions for the construction unit to complete the project on schedule.
Tay Son village (Quang Tan commune) has over 90% of the population being ethnic minorities, the lives of a part of the people are still difficult. To help people escape poverty sustainably, the Village Front Committee has stepped up propaganda and mobilized people to unite and help each other develop the economy in many forms, such as providing capital, seeds, experience in farming, raising livestock, etc.
Every year, the Front Committee coordinates with the village Party Cell to review and survey poor households, near-poor households, and households with difficult housing circumstances to propose to superiors for support in new construction or repair. In addition to the State's support, the village also mobilizes people and relatives to support funding and materials to ensure the area and quality of housing according to regulations.
To date, in the village, 5 houses have been newly built or repaired; 2 houses are being completed, expected to be completed in July 2025. The newly built or repaired houses help near-poor households have stable housing, reduce the burden of housing, and feel secure in working and producing to improve their lives.
According to Mr. Nhenh Quoc Sinh, Chairman of the District Fatherland Front Committee, to promote the role of the Front in building new rural areas, in recent times, the District Fatherland Front has guided the grassroots Fatherland Front to focus on improving the quality of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", combined with the implementation of patriotic emulation movements and local campaigns, such as "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind". “All people unite to build a cultural life”, “All people protect national security”, “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese products”.
From 2024 to present, the District Fatherland Front Committee has built and completed 3 models and tasks: Supporting the construction of houses for households in especially difficult circumstances in Trai Khe village (Dam Ha commune); supporting 30 solar power poles and bulbs to light up the country roads in Dong Thanh village (Quang An commune); a model of growing sticky corn in winter in Quang Lam commune, with a total value of 180 million VND.
The Front Working Committee of villages, hamlets and neighborhoods has implemented many models and tasks to maintain and improve the quality of NTM criteria, such as: Mobilizing people to participate in planting J02 rice, protecting the environment (Dong Thanh village, Quang An commune); propagating and mobilizing people to contribute funds and working days to invest in solar lighting systems (Thanh Lam and Tai Ly Say villages, Quang Lam commune); mobilizing ethnic minority households to live neatly and cleanly ( village Tan Tien, Tan Binh commune)…; thereby contributing bring the district's new rural construction program into more depth, sustainability and practicality.
