They build trust and become the driving force for people to join hands to build a new and integrated homeland without losing their cultural roots and identity.
When responsibility overcomes prejudice
Although she is not yet 30 years old, Ms. Ksor Nuch has been serving as Party Cell Secretary and Head of Doch Ia Krot Village, Ia Krai Commune, Ia Grai District for more than 2 years. She said: “When I was first elected as Party Cell Secretary, I was both happy and worried. There were times when I asked myself: “Can I handle this responsibility?”
That question not only expressed Ms. Nuch's own concerns but also the feelings of many young cadres when taking on leadership positions. To overcome those obstacles, Ms. Nuch chose to be close to the people and understand them. She went to each house, asked about each issue, persistently mobilized, and discussed each issue with the people. Gradually, those who once lacked trust came to accompany and support her.
Ms. Nuch said: “When I first took on the task, I was still confused, so I often sought out village elders and senior cadres to learn from their experiences. If I didn’t understand something, I would ask. If I couldn’t do it, I would try to find a way. I always thought that to be a cadre, I had to be close to the people and understand them. Sometimes I went to every alley, knocked on every door, and listened to people talking about their fields and children… from there, I knew what the villagers needed and thought so that I could do the right thing. Only when the people trusted me, would the common work go smoothly.”

Under her leadership, Doch Ia Krot village Party Cell has promoted collective strength with 19 party members who are always united, together mobilizing people to participate in economic development movements, cultural preservation and building a civilized life. In particular, people have agreed to donate land to build roads, convert to suitable crops, and improve the quality of life. In 2021, Doch Ia Krot village was recognized as meeting new rural standards.
Faced with lingering social issues such as child marriage, incestuous marriage, and domestic violence, Ms. Nuch coordinated with local authorities to organize many propaganda sessions to raise awareness among people, especially young people.
Ms. Ksor H'Yeng (Dọch Ia Krót village) commented: "Ms. Nuch is very close and sincere. Listening to Ms. Nuch, I always remind my children and grandchildren to focus on their studies and not get married early to build a better future."

Talking about the challenges at work, Ms. Nuch frankly shared: “I always try to learn and improve my knowledge and skills. Being close to the people, listening and setting an example in movements are factors that help me gain people’s trust.”
Not only trusted by the people, Ms. Nuch is also honored to be one of the typical cadres of the province selected by the 15th Army Corps to participate in the journey to visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum at the end of 2024. That special trip further strengthened her will and determination to help her firmly follow the path of following the Party, leading the villagers to overcome difficulties, innovate and develop.
“Visiting Uncle Ho’s Mausoleum is a great honor. I feel more clearly my responsibility, from there I strive harder, contributing to building my homeland to become more and more developed and sustainable,” Ms. Nuch confided.
Helping Villagers Get Up to Speed with Technology
Also one of the typical young cadres, Ms. Dinh Thi Dach (Dak Giang 2 village, Dong commune, Kbang district) currently holds many important roles at the grassroots level: Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of the Village Front Work Committee and delegate of the Commune People's Council.
In 2018, at the age of 26, she graduated with a Bachelor of Law. This was a great effort for a Bahnar woman in a remote area. When she was elected to the People's Council of the commune and assigned to work in the village, Ms. Dach immediately started implementing the resolutions of the Party Committee and the People's Council of the commune; at the same time, she actively encouraged people to change their thinking and working methods, gradually building a new countryside associated with digital transformation.
She is close to the people, understands the people, always grasps their opinions and recommendations to promptly reflect them to the Party Committee and government, contributing to creating consensus and unity in organization and implementation.
Whenever she propagates and mobilizes the people, Ms. Dach chooses a close approach, not long-winded, not commanding, not imposing, but simply speaking gently in both the common language and Bahnar. Therefore, the villagers can easily listen, understand and from there trust and follow. Thanks to her understanding of customs, psychology and skillful mobilization skills, Ms. Dach has become a "bridge" between the policies of the Party and the State and the lives of the people.
Mr. Dinh Hluoc - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Dong Commune - commented: "Comrade Dinh Thi Dach is very dedicated, responsible, always attached to the villagers and is trusted by the villagers, has prestige in the community".

Not stopping at communicating policies, with her acumen, she soon realized that if she did not help Bahnar women access technology, if she did not bring the village's products to the market, poverty and backwardness would remain forever. From that concern, she pioneered in opening classes to guide women in using social networks, filming videos , taking photos, writing sales articles. She went to each house, holding each person's hand to show them how to open their phones, create Zalo and Facebook accounts...
In 2023, she campaigned to establish the Elephant Forest Cooperative - a model combining indigenous knowledge preservation and digital economic development with 12 members. Members of the Cooperative have made typical products such as: rice wine, dried bamboo shoots, brocade, bamboo baskets, wild honey, wild mushrooms, ginseng... and then put them on e-commerce platforms. Thanks to good quality, some items have been connected for export.
Under the dedicated guidance of Ms. Dach, many women in Dak Giang 2 village have not only found opportunities for economic development but also preserved traditional cultural values. From these solid steps, the Bahnar community has become increasingly stronger, confidently integrating with the flow of innovation of the times while still maintaining its own identity.
Ms. Dinh Thi Nghieng (Dak Giang 2 village) expressed: “With Ms. Dach’s encouragement and guidance, we sisters are much more courageous. We do everything together, those who know will show those who don’t. The sisters in the village love each other like blood relatives, contribute to making products together, everyone is excited. Society has changed a lot now, we also have to learn more to keep up, but the important thing is not to forget our roots, not to forget the culture of the Bahnar people.”
