In the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of Brigade 409 led the unit to comprehensively deploy all aspects of work, successfully completing the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 13th Brigade Party Congress, and many tasks were excellently completed.

Notably, he led the organization to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the resolutions, directives and orders of superiors; reviewed and supplemented documents and combat readiness plans; fire and explosion prevention and control plans; natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue. The inspection results were 100% satisfactory, more than 82.5% were good and excellent; organized a comprehensive round of drills with live ammunition; participated in command-agency drills on the map, and in the field, there was a live-fire part; drills with infantry divisions all completed their tasks well...

Speaking at the Congress, Major General Truong Manh Dung acknowledged and commended the outstanding results achieved by the Party Committee of Brigade 409 during the past term; at the same time, he requested the Party Committee of the Brigade to continue to do a good job ofeducating officers and soldiers to grasp the resolutions and directives of superiors and the tasks of the unit; strictly maintain the combat readiness regime; focus on improving the quality of training in a synchronous, in-depth manner, close to combat reality, areas of operation, and combat objects; focus on training soldiers to proficiently use existing weapons and technical equipment, especially new weapons and equipment; ensure good force mobility, joint operations, and joint operations; strengthen practical training to improve the ability to attack in conditions where the enemy uses high-tech weapons and has a short preparation time for combat.
