Host the 2025 National Youth Weightlifting Championship

The organizing committee of the 2025 National Youth Weightlifting Championship said it has received a list of nearly 240 athletes from 31 delegations registered to compete in the tournament.

This is the first national-level tournament that Dak Lak will host in the year of At Ty 2025. Previously, Dak Lak successfully hosted and organized the National Weightlifting Championship in late September and early October 2024.

The tournament will take place from March 27 to April 4 at the Provincial Sports Gymnasium. Athletes will compete in the following categories: 40kg, 45kg, 49kg, 55kg, 59kg, over 59kg (for women) and 49kg, 55kg, 61kg, 67kg, 73kg and over 73kg (for men).

At this tournament, with 12 athletes, the host Dak Lak is the unit with the third largest number of athletes competing, after Hanoi (25 athletes) and Ho Chi Minh City (17 athletes).

The tournament is an opportunity for athletes to compete and improve their professional skills, thereby the Organizing Committee discovers and selects outstanding athletes to nurture and train to add to the national weightlifting team.
