Also attending were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks Luong Kim Son; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien, leaders of departments, branches and localities.

In a solemn atmosphere, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang and the delegation offered flowers and incense, expressing their respect, condolences and infinite gratitude to the heroic martyrs of Regiment 209, Division 312 who sacrificed their lives at Chu Tan Kra. The fighting spirit and sacrifice of the soldiers of Regiment 209 at Chu Tan Kra in March 1968 will forever be a shining symbol of patriotism, indomitable will, iron determination, determination to fight and win, for peace, independence, freedom and a prosperous and happy life today.

More than 57 years ago, in the early morning of March 26, 1968, at the height of 995 - Chu Tan Kra, in village 3, Ya Xier commune, Sa Thay district (now Ya Ly commune), a fierce battle took place between Regiment 209, Division 312, a unit with the participation of many Hanoians . In this battle, 204 American soldiers were killed but over 200 of our soldiers also heroically sacrificed, most of them were born in Hanoi, at the age of eighteen or twenty. To date, more than 100 martyrs' remains have been found and buried at Sa Thay Martyrs' Cemetery.
