The Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation General Hospital is a provincial-level grade II hospital. In recent times, the hospital has promoted the application of information technology in medical examination, treatment and hospital management activities; gradually applied electronic payment, digital signature, image storage and transmission instead of film printing, storage of test information instead of paper printing, use of hospital software... The hospital is one of the first 3 units in the province selected by the Department of Health to deploy Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to standardize medical examination and treatment data, enhance connectivity, share information, reduce administrative procedures and improve treatment efficiency.
Delegates conducted a survey and inspection of the information technology infrastructure, HIS (hospital information management), LIS (laboratory information), RIS (diagnostic imaging information), PACS (image storage and transmission), information security and some clinical and paraclinical departments of the hospital.

At the Conference, Director of the Department of Health Nong Tuan Phong highly appreciated the hospital's efforts in implementing the procedures for implementing the BAĐT Profile on the system according to the criteria and regulations of the Ministry of Health; the hospital's information technology system basically meets the requirements for implementing the BAĐT Profile. He requested the hospital to absorb the comments of delegates and technical support units to speed up the implementation of the contents, supplement necessary equipment, and soon complete the BAĐT Profile and the process for implementing the BAĐT Profile to proceed to appraisal, official operation, and storage to replace paper medical records. At the same time, continue to pay attention to improving the skills of officers and civil servants to meet the requirements of performing tasks.

Previously, from August 13 to 15, 2025, the Department of Health established a preliminary assessment team to prepare conditions for implementing electronic medical records according to the criteria specified in Circular No. 54/2017/TT-BYT dated December 29, 2017 and Circular No. 13/2025/TT-BYT dated June 6, 2025 of the Minister of Health at the Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation General Hospital; Quang Uyen Hospital; Ha Quang Hospital. Through the assessment, it is shown that the units have plans for implementation, coordination with software and transmission line suppliers; preparation of server rooms, automatic number taking machines, computers to connect to software; some related infrastructure for the installation of systems to deploy electronic medical records... However, to ensure and timely implementation according to the direction, the units are focusing on implementation; purchasing and adding computers, monitors, speakers at the clinic; repairing and upgrading some degraded equipment; coordinating with related units to ensure network information security; implementing prescription forms; upgrading LAN systems to ensure speed, transmission lines, and implementation progress .
Electronic medical records are one of the important components in the digital transformation process of the healthcare sector, helping to standardize medical examination and treatment data, enhance connectivity, share information between levels, reduce administrative procedures and improve treatment efficiency.
