Feminine DANMY in the show Em xinh say hi
At 7pm on November 16, DANMY will bring that breeze to perform at the closing night of the Green Vietnam Festival at the Youth Cultural House, Ben Nghe Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
DANMY is excited about this event because she is also aiming for a green lifestyle.
DANMY always tries to be "green" consciously
"I always try to be consciously 'green', not just follow the trend," DANMY shared. Every day, she limits her use of plastic by bringing her own cup to buy coffee and using her own water bottle.

Instead of buying new performance costumes, DANMY recycles or remixes old ones - both to save money and to create her own style. Although she is not a complete vegetarian, she has at least two "green days" each week - eating vegetables and limiting red meat. The most important thing, according to DANMY, is to keep a green spirit.
"My high school teacher once said: 'Wherever you go, leave only footprints and smiles!' I believe that 'green living' is not only about protecting the environment, but also about protecting your inner emotions, not letting negativity overwhelm the light," she shared.
DANMY offers ideas for bringing "green" messages to young people through campaigns using music and fashion to talk about the environment.
According to her, Gen Z will not listen when being lectured, but will spread the word when it is fun, practical and approachable. Instead of imposing "green responsibilities", create "green opportunities". For example, instead of saying "Let's reduce waste!", organize a playground like "Green Beat Challenge" - each rap or clip spreading a green message will be donated with a real tree.
Even small green actions such as recycling water bottles or planting trees along the roadside deserve to be recognized and spread positive messages to "accumulate small things into big things", creating a "green picture".
The girl who grew up with Hip-hop and Ballet
DANMY's real name is Nguyen Thuy Dung, born in 2003, and has been exposed to art since she was young. She has practiced ballet since she was 3 years old. In middle school, she was fascinated by the bass beats, drops, flows, and punchlines of rap. At first, it was just curiosity, but then rap became a passion.
She shared that being a female rapper is a journey that is both beautiful and "full of scratches". When she first entered Hip-hop, she found that world filled with "male energy" - strong, instinctive, and dusty, in contrast to ballet - disciplined, soft, and full of emotions.

DANMY's mother was worried when her daughter pursued art from a young age, and when she grew up, she chose rap - a music genre that was both unfamiliar and full of risks. But thanks to her efforts and perseverance, the family gradually changed their thinking: "This is not rebellion, but something new for young people."
Now, family is DANMY's biggest support. Every time he goes on tour, his mother tells him: "Just be yourself, but remember to come home for dinner."
DANMY frankly said: " Rap Viet is like a launching pad, not only bringing me to the audience, but also helping me reflect on myself. This is an important milestone, not because of winning or losing, but because I get to live on stage."
In the show, DANMY wants to express the feelings of a girl who is growing up, knowing love, knowing hurt, but still keeping a smile.
Expanding out, joining Rap Viet and Em xinh say hi , DANMY wants the world to see that she can rap, dance, and turn the stage into a small universe.
But the further she went, the more she realized that she didn't always need to explode. Sometimes, silence has its own rhythm, and calmness is also a beautiful form of energy. Now DANMY says she chooses to go slower, deeper. Her music is not just about "good flow, good beat", but about storytelling.
"Talking about the real person inside, using music to spread positive energy, to let young people see that being strong does not mean being closed-minded and being gentle does not mean being weak," DANMY said.
