Báo Cần ThơBáo Cần Thơ29/03/2025

(CT) - After a period of high prices, the price of dragon fruit in many localities in the Mekong Delta has now decreased by 4,000-6,000 VND/kg compared to about 2 weeks ago. The price of red-fleshed dragon fruit grade 1 sold by farmers to traders and fruit purchasing warehouses is at 28,000-29,000 VND/kg, while previously it was at 33,000-34,000 VND/kg. The price of red-fleshed dragon fruit grade 2 was from 28,000-29,000 VND/kg, now it has decreased to 24,000-25,000 VND/kg, grade 3 is currently priced at around 18,000-19,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, beautiful white-fleshed dragon fruit is being sold by many farmers at 16,000-18,000 VND/kg, while previously it was 22,000-23,000 VND/kg. The price has decreased due to slow export output and dragon fruit consumption in many domestic localities has also decreased compared to before.

Durian prices fall

(CT) - The price of many types of durian in the Mekong Delta has decreased by 5,000-20,000 VND/kg compared to a few weeks ago. In Can Tho City and many neighboring provinces such as Hau Giang, Vinh Long... currently, Ri6 durian, Chuong Bo durian and Sau Huu durian type 1 are sold by farmers to traders and purchasing warehouses at 70,000-80,000 VND/kg, type 2 at 55,000-60,000 VND/kg. The price of Mon Thon and Musaking durian type 1 is at 130,000-140,000 VND/kg, type 2 at 110,000-120,000 VND/kg. The price has decreased due to increased supply because durian in many places is entering harvest, while recently export output has been somewhat slow and difficult compared to before, especially exporting to the Chinese market.

Ido longan price increases

(CT) - The price of Ido longan in Can Tho City and many provinces in the Mekong Delta has increased by 5,000-6,000 VND/kg compared to more than a month ago and is at a fairly high level, making Ido longan growers quite excited. In many places, the price of Ido longan sold by farmers to traders and fruit purchasing warehouses is currently at 20,000-23,000 VND/kg, while selected grade 1 longan is priced at 25,000-26,000 VND/kg. The price has increased because recently many small traders and businesses have increased their purchases to serve export and domestic consumption. Currently, the supply of Ido longan is also somewhat limited because the amount of longan ready for harvest is not much, which also creates conditions for price increases.
