Impressions from projects welcoming the EVN Party Congress

(Chinhphu.vn) - Towards the 4th EVN Party Congress, term 2025-2030, many important projects and products have been completed ahead of schedule by EVN and its member units. These are practical actions, bearing the mark of the emulation spirit and efforts to overcome difficulties of officials and workers in the Electricity industry.

Welcoming the 4th Congress of the Party Committee of Vietnam Electricity Group, term 2025 - 2030, last July, the Party Committee of Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) organized the installation of signs for 2 key projects: Cai Rang 110 kV transformer station and connecting line ( Can Tho City) and Thanh Binh 110 kV transformer station and connecting line (Dong Thap province).

Construction started in the fourth quarter of 2023, both projects faced many challenges from site clearance and fluctuations in material prices, but they finished ahead of schedule. The event of energizing on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification, and the 50th anniversary of the establishment and development of EVNSPC is even more meaningful.

Also in July, the Party Committee of the Electricity Telecommunications and Information Technology Company (EVNICT) put up a sign for the product "Electronic Party Member Handbook and Party Member Management". Comrade Nguyen Huu Tuan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the EVN Party Committee acknowledged that this is a product demonstrating the spirit of self-reliance and mastery of technology of EVNICT, realizing the digital transformation program of the EVN Party Committee.

Previously, in April 2025, the Party Committee of the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) held a ceremony to attach the signboard of the Quy Nhon Port 110 kV Transformer Station and make connections. Despite many complicated items, the project was completed and energized on September 29, 2023, 3 months ahead of schedule, contributing to ensuring stable power supply for Quy Nhon City and Binh Dinh Province.

In the North, in March 2025, the Party Committee of the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) placed a sign on the Song Tra 110 kV Transmission Line and Transformer Station project ( Thai Binh province). Construction began at the end of July 2023 and the project was completed in December 2023, 12 days ahead of schedule, ensuring power supply for the province's industrial parks and clusters. This is one of the first projects to have a sign welcoming the 4th EVN Party Congress.

The project's operation has contributed to ensuring a stable power source to serve socio -economic development, especially the increasing energy demand from industrial parks and industrial clusters in localities in the former Thai Binh province (now Hung Yen province).

Not only the above-mentioned projects, in the whole Group, there are a total of 11 projects and products with signs welcoming the 4th Congress of the Party Committee of Vietnam Electricity Group, term 2025-2030.

Practical actions spread the spirit of competition

The above projects are practical results from the Emulation Plan launched by the Party Committee of Vietnam Electricity Group, aiming to create an exciting atmosphere and determination to exceed the targets of the Resolution for the 2020-2025 term.

Spreading the spirit from typical projects in the emulation movement, throughout the Group, investment in construction of power source and grid projects as well as investment in digital infrastructure development has been promoted.

In recent times, EVN has always been one of the leading state-owned enterprises in construction investment among state-owned corporations and groups. In 2024 alone, the consolidated investment value of 19 state-owned corporations and groups was VND 160,000 billion, of which EVN alone reached an investment of VND 112,892 billion, accounting for nearly 70.56%.

In the coming time, EVN will continue to maintain high investment targets, of which, in 2025, the total investment volume is estimated at over VND 114,000 billion, equal to 104% of the plan. The Group considers investment and implementation of projects as a very important task to ensure power supply for double-digit growth in the coming time.

The efforts to complete projects and products to welcome the 4th EVN Party Congress are practical actions of EVN officials and employees. Thereby, the Group not only develops the power system, promotes digital transformation but also affirms its pivotal role in ensuring energy security, serving the country's socio-economic development.
