What are the potential investment channels in the second half of 2024?

Real estate, gold, foreign currency, and a series of other investment channels are waiting to receive cash flow in the second half of this year. Choosing the right place to "invest" is becoming a big question mark for many people.

“From now until the end of 2024, stock investment has the best potential for development, followed by real estate, but only in a few specific areas. If there is no adjustment, 2024 can be called the year of gold, but in fact, gold is being adjusted. The exchange rate continues to increase, although not as strongly as it has since the beginning of the year, but it is no longer an attractive investment area,” said Dr. Nguyen Tri Hieu, a financial economist .

In the context of the world economy gradually recovering but unstable, facing many uncertain risks, investors are always in a position to find ways to adapt and develop, self-transform in management and business methods. According to Dr. Nguyen Tri Hieu, with the results achieved in the first half of 2024, Vietnam's economic outlook will continue to be positive in the second half of this year. If the US Federal Reserve ( Fed ) decides to lower interest rates, the pressure on the USD/VND exchange rate will decrease and have a positive impact on other macro balances.

“On the other hand, if the Fed , under pressure from the Republican Party, postpones cutting interest rates, the Vietnamese economy will face many disadvantages, including rising exchange rates and inflation and adverse impacts on foreign investment,” Mr. Hieu said.

In general, the economic expert expects the macro economy to continue to remain stable, major balances to be ensured, business and people's confidence to be strengthened; Vietnam's economic growth in the last 6 months of the year is likely to reach 6.3 - 6.8% and the whole year may reach 6.3 - 6.5%.

The workshop "Investment opportunities at the end of 2024" will help investors find the ideal "capital investment" channel.
