Skoda brand cars are manufactured at Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory.

After more than 2 years of construction, in March 2025, Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory was officially inaugurated and put into production. This is the central project in the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile and Supporting Industry Complex with a scale of 400 hectares, total investment capital of nearly 9,000 billion VND, invested by Thanh Cong Group .

The factory has a total area of 36.5 hectares, with a production scale and assembly of Skoda brand cars, with a capacity of 120,000 cars/year. This is also the first European standard car factory in Vietnam, invested, equipped synchronously, applying modern production line technology with a high level of automation, applying the world 's advanced technologies in the automobile industry. The entire production process at the factory is strictly controlled through an intelligent data management system, helping to optimize productivity and ensure product quality meets international standards.

With the goal of contributing to the province's growth in 2025 with a target increase of 14%, after only 3 months of operation, at the end of June 2025, Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory launched its first product model, Skoda Kushaq. This is a popular, favorite car model, using a fuel-efficient 1.0 TSI Turbo engine with a consumption of 6.1L/100km. Continuing until September 2025, the factory launched the second car model called Skoda Slavia, which is designed to be the most spacious in the segment.

According to the representative of Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory, after the inauguration, the factory has been operating smoothly. All production stages and components are synchronized, ensuring the correct design process and technical standards. However, the capacity is 120,000 cars/year, but because it is a new car brand, gradually approaching the domestic market, the production capacity is currently closely following the actual market demand. Up to now, the factory has produced and supplied more than 2,000 cars to the market. According to the initial survey, the products manufactured at the factory are highly appreciated by customers from preferential prices to product quality. In the coming time, when the demand for products increases, the unit will increase capacity and implement the best support policies for consumers.

After more than 6 months of production, Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory has released more than 2,000 vehicles to the market, which have been highly appreciated by customers for their preferential prices and product quality.

The processing and manufacturing industry has been an important target in the province's economic restructuring for many years. Reality has clearly proven that, even in the most difficult contexts and conditions such as storms and Covid-19, this key economic sector has always developed and played a driving role in the province's growth. Quang Ninh's viewpoint is that in order to develop modernly, it is necessary to closely associate with innovation, high technology, digital transformation application and training of high-quality technical human resources. This is also very consistent with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW (dated December 22, 2024) of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation... bringing the country into a new era.

Putting Thanh Cong Viet Hung Factory into operation and production with smart robot lines, meeting European standards is a big step forward for Quang Ninh in directly participating in the high-quality industrial production chain, bringing Vietnam deeper into the international supply chain. From there, it not only promotes local economic growth, but also contributes to the goal of enhancing national industrial autonomy in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

In the next phase, with strategic car models, Thanh Cong Viet Hung Factory has set a goal of gradually increasing the high localization rate by having more factories for components, engines, research and development (R&D) centers and other supporting projects deployed synchronously in the Viet Hung Automobile Industrial Complex. This will contribute to attracting high technology, creating many quality jobs for workers; making the Complex a new technology center in the coming time, an important destination in the supply chain of the automobile industry in Southeast Asia. This is also a new, important driving force for the growth of the province and the country.
