Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai Hau, Deputy Head of Market Management Team No. 2 in Mai Son - Yen Chau area, said: Since the beginning of the year, the Team has deployed market inspection and control, focusing on food businesses, especially in remote areas; checking means of transporting goods with signs of violations. At the same time, strengthen coordination with the functional forces of the two districts, inspect and handle acts of smuggling, trading in prohibited goods, counterfeit goods; coordinate with tax authorities to control prices, prevent arbitrary price increases. Focus on propaganda and mobilize business households to sign a commitment to strictly comply with the law, not to trade in counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, protect consumer rights. Maintain a hotline to receive and process information, detect and handle many violations.

Last May, the Team coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee's Working Group 1181 to launch a peak campaign to combat smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and intellectual property infringement in Mai Son and Yen Chau districts. Through inspection on May 31 in Yen Chau district, many business households were found to be in violation, typically, such as: Business household Le Thi Tuyen, Ta Lang Thap village, Tu Nang commune, violated regulations on arranging separate areas for functional foods, cosmetics, and retailing drugs outside the scope of business. Business household Cam Thi Hong Hanh, Dong Khua village, Tu Nang commune, the authorities seized 300 kg of rice of unknown origin, listed at 14,000 VND/kg. Business household Dao Thi Hang, Ta Lang Thap village, Tu Nang commune, was found to be in violation of trading in counterfeit Gucci, Adidas, Chanel handbags; there were no warning signs prohibiting the sale of cigarettes, alcohol, and beer to people under 18 years old; Failed to present a license to retail tobacco and alcohol; stored food not in accordance with regulations stated on product labels. The authorities have drawn up a record and handled the violation according to regulations.

In Mai Son and Yen Chau districts, there are currently more than 3,000 production, business and service establishments in the fields of: plant protection, fertilizer, food, groceries, electronics... Since the beginning of the year, the functional forces and interdisciplinary inspection teams have inspected 28 cases, handled 10 violations, collected nearly 70 million VND in fines, including 55.5 million VND in administrative fines, nearly 10 million VND in confiscated goods, and more than 4.2 million VND in destroyed goods. Violations are mainly in the fields of: minerals, agricultural materials, business, commercial fraud and food hygiene and safety.

The fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods is an important and regular task. Market Management Team No. 2 in Mai Son - Yen Chau area continues to propagate and guide people, business households and enterprises to identify counterfeit and poor quality goods; actively coordinate with the authorities in fighting and denouncing crimes, contributing to the development of local socio -economy.
