Hoa Binh Power Company (PC Hoa Binh) has been focusing on implementing solutions to implement power grid infrastructure construction investment projects in 2025 to ensure the set schedule. Thereby, continuing to improve the quality of electricity, ensuring stable and safe power supply, especially during the hot and stormy season.
The hot season has entered its peak, leading to a sudden increase in electricity demand from people and businesses. This poses a risk of overloading and causing local incidents on the power grid if there are no timely and synchronous solutions. In addition to implementing technical measures and promoting people to use electricity economically and effectively, the investment in new construction, renovation and upgrading of power grid infrastructure plays a particularly important role, contributing to ensuring stable and safe power supply to serve the socio -economic development of the locality.
Recognizing this, in recent times, PC Hoa Binh has proactively and actively implemented many construction investment projects, focusing on preventing overload, reducing power loss and improving the quality of electricity serving customers. Comrade Luong Van Phuong, Deputy Director of PC Hoa Binh said: Currently, the Company has 19 construction investment projects in the 2025 plan. Of which, 5 projects have been completed, 4 projects are under construction, 3 projects are preparing design documents and implementing investment preparation steps; 7 new projects were assigned by the Northern Power Corporation in May, and are currently implementing investment preparation steps".
In particular, in order to cope with the grid overload during the hot season, from the end of the fourth quarter of 2024 to the beginning of 2025, PC Hoa Binh has made efforts to put into operation 17 urgent projects, including 6 overload prevention projects according to the 2025 plan and 11 additional power loss reduction projects. These projects help increase transmission capacity and reduce pressure on the medium and low voltage power systems in the province.
At the same time, the Company is also urgently implementing the urgent project to replace and increase the capacity of transformers in the period of 2024 - 2025. To ensure progress, PC Hoa Binh has established working groups to regularly inspect, closely monitor the site, urge contractors to perform construction, and actively coordinate with local authorities and related units to remove difficulties and obstacles in site clearance, ensuring safe and quality construction.
Not only that, PC Hoa Binh is currently implementing 5 ring circuit renovation projects (MDMC - automation), aiming to interconnect medium voltage lines between regions. This is an important solution contributing to improving the reliability of power supply, reducing interruption time when incidents occur.
With the initiative, efforts and determination in implementing electricity projects, the power grid system of Hoa Binh province is being comprehensively upgraded step by step, meeting the electricity demand for production and daily life of the people. This is also a solid premise to ensure energy security, serving the socio-economic development goals of the province in 2025 and the following years.
