Accelerate the progress of power projects.

Hoa Binh Power Company (PC Hoa Binh) has been focusing on implementing solutions to carry out investment and construction projects for the power grid in 2025, ensuring that the projects are completed on schedule. This aims to further improve the quality of electricity, ensuring stable and safe power supply, especially during the hot season and stormy weather.

The hot season has reached its peak, leading to a sudden surge in electricity demand from residents and businesses. This poses a risk of overloading and localized power grid failures if timely and coordinated solutions are not implemented. Besides implementing technical measures and promoting efficient and economical electricity use, investment in new construction, renovation, and upgrading of power grid infrastructure plays a particularly important role in ensuring stable and safe electricity supply to serve the socio -economic development of the locality.

Recognizing this, Hoa Binh Power Company has proactively and actively implemented many investment and construction projects in recent times, focusing on combating overload, reducing power losses, and improving the quality of electricity service for customers. Mr. Luong Van Phuong, Deputy Director of Hoa Binh Power Company, stated: "Currently, the company has 19 investment and construction projects included in the 2025 plan. Of these, 5 projects have been completed, 4 projects are under construction, 3 projects are in the process of preparing design documents and carrying out investment preparation steps; and 7 new projects were assigned by the Northern Power Corporation in May and are currently in the investment preparation phase."

In particular, to address grid overload during the hot season, from the end of the fourth quarter of 2024 to the beginning of 2025, Hoa Binh Power Company has made efforts to put into operation 17 essential projects, including 6 overload prevention projects planned for 2025 and 11 additional projects to reduce power losses. These projects help strengthen transmission capacity and reduce pressure on the medium and low voltage power systems in the province.

Simultaneously, the company is also urgently implementing the project to replace and upgrade the capacity of transformers in the 2024-2025 period. To ensure progress, PC Hoa Binh has established working groups to regularly inspect and closely monitor the construction site, urge contractors to expedite construction, and actively coordinate with local authorities and relevant units to resolve difficulties and obstacles in land clearance, ensuring safe and high-quality construction.

Furthermore, PC Hoa Binh is currently implementing five medium-voltage circuit improvement (MDMC - automation) projects to connect medium-voltage power lines between different areas. This is a crucial solution contributing to improved power supply reliability and reduced downtime in the event of a fault.

With proactive efforts and decisive implementation of power projects, Hoa Binh province's power grid system is being comprehensively upgraded step by step, effectively meeting the electricity needs for production and daily life of the people. This also provides a solid foundation for ensuring energy security and serving the socio-economic development goals of the province in 2025 and subsequent years.
