Speed ​​up the implementation of key projects

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee reported on the progress of implementing the province's key projects, including large-scale strategic infrastructure programs and projects with spillover effects that have been approved for investment and are being implemented, including the following projects: Quang Tri Airport; Quang Tri Industrial Park; My Thuy Port Area; Hai Lang LNG Project Phase 1; Conveyor system for transporting coal from Laos to Vietnam via La Lay International Border Gate.

Project to adjust the General Construction Planning and Project to adjust the boundary of the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone to 2045; Project to build a cross-border economic zone of Lao Bao - Densavan; Project to connect the East - West Economic Corridor with the Eastern bypass of Dong Ha City.

Potential and feasible projects of strategic investors include: Quang Tri Thermal Power Plant; investment in construction of Cam Lo - Lao Bao expressway; completion of construction of National Highway 15D; Cam Lo golf resort complex, Cam Lo town and Cam Thanh commune; SAM Quang Tri high-end residential, resort, sports and entertainment complex; Quang Tri Silica Industrial Complex; coal processing projects in My Thuy port area.

Currently, the progress of projects is being actively implemented, in which, the projects and proposals are being completed and submitted to competent authorities for approval and implementation. For potential and feasible projects of strategic investors, relevant departments and branches are guiding investors to study and implement.

For projects under construction, many projects are actively implemented such as: Coastal Road Project connecting the East - West Economic Corridor, 4/4 bidding packages have been simultaneously implemented with a value of about 549 billion VND/1,616 billion VND, reaching 34%. Quang Tri Airport Project has completed site clearance (GPMB) of 241.08 ha/265.372 ha, of which the first phase of land lease is 140.56 ha; the Department of Agriculture and Environment has submitted the second phase of land lease of 98.9 ha; 24.2 ha are still under implementation; construction work of items is being urgently carried out... However, some projects are still behind schedule due to problems with GPMB, lack of construction materials, and other procedures...

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai emphasized: The key projects are of great significance, determining the overall development of Quang Tri. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the implementation direction to accelerate the implementation progress to complete on time and ahead of schedule.

Accelerating the progress will contribute to creating room for development, creating momentum for growth, disbursing public investment capital, promoting social investment capital in the context of administrative apparatus arrangement and organization; merging communes, abolishing district level and merging provinces in the coming time, especially the economic growth target of 8% in 2025.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai requested members of the Steering Committee to continue urging and directing departments, branches and localities to actively coordinate to remove obstacles, especially in site clearance and construction materials, and to direct the acceleration of the adjustment of pre-feasibility study reports to serve as a basis for allocating capital to complete a number of projects.

On that basis, sectors, localities and units must thoroughly grasp the spirit of urgency and determination to soon bring key and strategic projects to the set schedule.
