Chelsea want Rodrygo's services. |
According to DefensaCentral , Chelsea has proactively contacted Real Madrid and proposed a direct exchange deal for Rodrygo for Nicolas Jackson, a striker also born in 2001 but with much less experience than his colleague currently playing for "Los Blancos".
"Both players are valued at around 100 million euros, which makes the transaction between Real and Chelsea possible without additional costs, in line with the financial requirements of both clubs," DefensaCentral revealed.
Chelsea believe Rodrygo would be the ideal piece to bolster their attack, especially after winning the Club World Cup. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are leaning towards selling Rodrygo outright to raise cash to help bolster their defence and midfield – two areas that Xabi Alonso has prioritised for improvement.
Rodrygo, once considered a key player on the right flank at the Bernabeu, is no longer untouchable. With competition growing and new tactics required, the final decision will be up to president Florentino Perez.
As for Jackson, the Senegalese player also faces an uncertain future at Chelsea. In terms of class and experience, the Senegalese player cannot compare to Rodrygo. After inconsistent performances from the Premier League to the Club World Cup, the former Villarreal player is likely to be removed from coach Enzo Maresca's plans to make way for Liam Delap.
