Proposal to rank To Vo Gate, Ly Son as a national monument

(Quang Ngai Newspaper) - The People's Committee of Quang Ngai province has just submitted a document requesting the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to consider, decide on the ranking and grant a national relic ranking certificate for To Vo Gate Scenic Area, Tay village, An Vinh, Ly Son district, Quang Ngai province.

To Vo Gate, Ly Son

To Vo Gate scenic spot was formed from the lava eruption of Gieng Tien volcano (Ly Son), creating a thick basalt layer at To Vo Gate location. Over time, the basalt layer of To Vo Gate was broken and affected by the erosion of sea waves related to the sea level rise, breaking into the middle layer of rock with weaker cohesion than the rock layer above, creating a hollow level, a hollow hole like a stone gate with the shape of a To Vo nest. Because of its wild, unique, distinct, exclusive beauty and high recognition, To Vo Gate scenic spot is one of the famous landscapes of Quang Ngai province and Vietnam.
