Candidates said that this year's English exam for grade 10 was within their ability, with only clear differentiation in some parts, which significantly reduced pressure.
At the exam site of Tran Phu High School (Hai Chau District), candidates rushed out after the drum beat to end the English exam, everyone's face was radiant. Most of them commented that this year's exam was "easy", not confusing, helping them to keep their spirits up to prepare for the math exam tomorrow.
Easy to get average - good score, clear differentiation at high score level
Quang Minh, a student at Tay Son Secondary School, said the test had a familiar structure, mainly in the 9th grade curriculum. "The multiple choice part is easy to get 7-8 points if you have mastered the basics. However, if you want to get 9-10, you have to be really good, because the word classification and sentence writing parts are more difficult, and can easily cause confusion," Minh commented.
Similarly, Khanh Ngoc, a student at Kim Dong Secondary School, also said that this year's exam was "friendly" to most candidates.
"Students with good academic performance can do well in about 70-80% of the questions. The word classification part has many similar answers, which makes us a bit confused. But overall, if you study the 9th grade program firmly, it is not too difficult to pass," Ngoc shared.
