On the morning of April 24, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Tat Thang chaired a working session with Kensys Thailand Company on developing advanced medical technologies and applying artificial intelligence (AI) to improve public health.
At the meeting, Mr. Nattawut Sudprasert - CEO of Kensys Thailand Company introduced AI tools in medical examination and diagnosis through smart devices such as phones, tablets, computers... Accordingly, the software researched and developed by Kensys allows measuring physiological indicators through images/ videos , without the need for direct contact sensors (heart rate, blood oxygen concentration, blood pressure, stress level and many other indicators...).
This technology will make remote health care easier; disease screening does not require expensive equipment; suitable for community health care programs or remote areas. Users can also chat with AI doctors for health advice. Technology does not deny the role of doctors, does not have a treatment function but better supports the examination and patient classification process.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Tat Thang highly appreciated the features of the software that Kensys Thailand introduced. This is a popular technology, which has been developed by the company in many countries and territories. The introduction also showed that AI-based medical examination and treatment support technology is especially suitable for remote areas (district, commune and individual medical facilities) in Ha Tinh .
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee thanked Kensys Thailand for its interest in Ha Tinh in contributing to the development of technology in the medical field. This is also an opportunity for the local medical sector to access and learn more about modern and advanced technologies from other countries. He hoped that the company would support Ha Tinh in testing and experiencing the software so that the locality could have a specific assessment and research to implement the next steps.
At the same time, it is recommended that the Department of Health and related departments and branches study the feasibility, usefulness, convenience and current regulations... to consider and coordinate application in practice in the area; learn about the fields and strengths of Kensys Thailand as well as other technology enterprises to cooperate, in order to apply advanced technologies to medical examination, treatment and health care for the people.
Currently, the Ha Tinh health sector is coordinating the application of many technologies and artificial intelligence in medical examination and treatment activities such as: coordinating the application of AI in the field of remote imaging diagnosis (teleradiology); cooperating to deploy the DrAid software application for medical examination and treatment facilities (hospitals/medical centers). The DrAid AI application helps to quickly detect injuries such as rib fractures, pneumothorax, pleural effusion, pulmonary fibrosis, opacities, opacity, chest opacity, enlarged heart shadow, wide mediastinum, etc.
At the same time, hospitals and medical facilities also apply medical examination and treatment management software (HIS); laboratory information system (LIS); RIS/PACS image diagnostic support; PACS system connected to digital X-ray machines (not film printing) to transfer image data to clinical departments and central hospitals for consultation...
