Project Fort Zero is being built by Dell’s Zero Trust Center of Excellence and partner ecosystem to accelerate Zero Trust adoption. Led by an ecosystem of more than 30 leading technology companies, Dell will deliver a mature, validated Zero Trust solution within the next 12 months.
“Zero Trust is designed for decentralized environments, but integrating hundreds of individual solutions from multiple vendors is a complex process. This strategy is out of reach for most businesses,” said Herb Kelsey, chief technology officer, Dell Technologies. “We are helping global enterprises address today’s security challenges by simplifying integration and accelerating the adoption of a Zero Trust strategy.”
A fully configured Project Fort Zero solution reduces the barrier to entry for Zero Trust. Dell takes care of the technology integration and orchestration, rather than the business having to work with multiple vendors to implement it. This reduces the estimated time to deploy Zero Trust through the private cloud.
To achieve the certification, a government assessment team will conduct a Fort Zero Project audit to validate the maturity and compliance of the Zero Trust reference architecture from the U.S. Department of Defense , a globally recognized architecture. This end-to-end solution provides the highest level of protection and helps global public and private enterprises adapt and respond quickly to cyber threats.
The Fort Zero project can serve a variety of uses such as:
• In the enterprise's on-premises data centers. This is where compliance and data security are extremely important.
• At remote or local locations such as retail stores. When deployed continuously and securely, customer data analytics can provide a huge competitive advantage.
• In the field, temporary deployments with unstable connections, such as aircraft or vehicles, are needed to ensure continuity of operations.
“Enterprises are looking to Zero Trust to modernize their cybersecurity programs and keep pace with evolving threat landscapes,” said John Grady, Principal Analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group. “But deciding where to start, which features to prioritize, and what actions to take to accelerate maturity can be complex. IT and cybersecurity managers need help planning and deploying the right tools to support their strategies. Fort Zero accelerates this process with an end-to-end solution blueprint that can be applied to any enterprise and is built on a validated, globally recognized reference architecture.”
Dell Expands Security Services Portfolio with Launch of PSX for Backup
In addition to Project Fort Zero, Dell is also expanding its security portfolio with the launch of Product Success Accelerator (PSX) for Backup, a new service to help businesses protect and recover data in the event of a disruption.
PSX for Backup simplifies the deployment and maintenance of backup environments to ensure data recovery. Dell also previously introduced PSX for Cyber Recovery, a service that deploys and supports the operation of isolated cyber recovery vaults to ensure data security.
Organizations can choose from three levels of cyber backup and recovery based on their actual needs.
