Delegates solemnly performed the ceremony to announce the Vietnam AI Economy Report.
According to the Vietnam AI Economy 2025 Report, the two main growth drivers that will help AI make a major contribution to Vietnam's economy by 2040 are: Revenue from consumption (45-55 billion USD) through consumption of products and services with AI applications and cost savings of 60-70 billion USD due to increased productivity thanks to the use of technology.
The report analyzes in depth the current state of Vietnam's AI economy, generalizes into models and details for each field; points out the AI strategy and roadmap with 3 goals and 5 main pillars, with AI application fields, startup ecosystem, human resources, resources... In particular, the Report provides important, practical strategic recommendations as well as a vision for Vietnam's AI ecosystem.
Mr. Kubo Yoshimoto, Deputy Chief of Representative Office of JICA Vietnam Office shared about the Vietnam AI Economy Report 2025.
Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of the National Innovation Center, stated: The Party and State of Vietnam have had many important policies and decisions, such as Resolution 57 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, Resolution 68 on private economic development of the Politburo , Resolution 193 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of special mechanisms and policies to create breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, etc.
To realize the above policies and guidelines, under the strong direction of the Ministry of Finance , the National Innovation Center has coordinated with JICA to develop the Report "Vietnam AI Economy 2025".
The Vietnam AI Economy 2025 Report is the result of effective cooperation between NIC - JICA and BCG, the first document to provide a comprehensive picture of the AI economy in Vietnam, providing some international experiences and lessons for AI development and analyzing opportunities in key economic sectors, proposing development pillars for the AI economy. This will be a useful reference document, helping central and local state management agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals build roadmaps, plans, and solutions for development, as well as application of AI technology.
Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of the National Innovation Center, shared about the cooperation between NIC - JICA and BCG to successfully implement the Vietnam AI Economy Report 2025.
Following that cooperation, NIC will work with JICA DXLab to implement the AI Startup Acceleration Program in Vietnam in the coming time to support early-stage startups to improve their capacity, access the market, attract investment and gradually build internal strength for the innovation ecosystem in the field of AI in Vietnam.

The seminar program includes practical content about the current state of Vietnam's AI economy, AI development strategies of corporations, and experiences from Japan.
With the participation of about 100 delegates, including representatives of ministries, branches, research institutes, universities, investment funds, international organizations, technology corporations, startups, experts in the field of AI from Vietnam and Japan, students of technology majors... participating both in person and online, the program to announce the Report "Vietnam AI Economy 2025" also includes in-depth discussion sessions with the participation of leading experts from management agencies, research institutes, businesses and international organizations, to discuss technology trends, policy mechanisms, and effective AI application models. In addition, the program also has an exhibition area displaying typical AI solutions in many fields such as manufacturing, education, finance and smart cities, thereby introducing technologies and application models being deployed in Vietnam and Japan.
The exhibition area on the application of AI technology achievements in various fields attracted the attention of many visitors.
This is also an opportunity to exchange experiences and connect businesses of many startups in AI technology.
