( Quang Ngai Newspaper) - In addition to online shopping, or going to supermarkets and convenience stores, many people have the habit of going to wholesale markets to buy some goods and food for their families. Going to wholesale markets to buy retail brings many interesting things such as abundant and rich goods, customers can easily choose items for their needs.

For the past two years, Ms. Ung Thi Hong Phuong, in Chanh Lo Ward (Quang Ngai City), has often gone to the Quang Ngai City Agricultural Wholesale Market to buy some daily food. Ms. Phuong often chooses items such as green vegetables, corn, lemons, bananas, watermelons, etc. “I often go to the wholesale market early in the morning. Because this is the place that supplies agricultural products to small traders in the province, the market has a lot of green vegetables and spices. Especially every time my family has something to do and needs a lot of green vegetables and spices, I go to the wholesale market to buy them very conveniently. Bananas and watermelons are also imported in abundance. Bananas are sold in whole bunches, or cut into bunches,” Ms. Phuong said.

Many people choose to buy flowers and fruits of all kinds at the Quang Ngai City Agricultural Wholesale Market.

Ly Ly, who lives near the Quang Ngai City Agricultural Wholesale Market, often comes here every day to shop for convenience. While choosing mushrooms, lotus seeds, cabbage, tomatoes, kumquats, lemons and pineapples, Ly shared that her hometown is in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City. Since I was a child, I have lived near the market so I like to go to traditional markets, especially wholesale markets. Since I learned about the Quang Ngai City Agricultural Wholesale Market near my house, after taking my children to school, I often stop by the wholesale market to buy some food.

Ms. Ly's experience when shopping at the wholesale market is to buy some green vegetables, spices and beans at cheaper prices. On the first and fifteenth days of the lunar month, many families often eat vegetarian food, so the demand for green vegetables is high, so the wholesale market is also a place where many people choose to buy.

Ms. Bui Thi Thanh, a wholesale market trader, said that the wholesale market is often divided into many different time frames. Usually, from 11pm to nearly 12am is the time frame when traders from Tam Ky City ( Quang Nam ) come to the wholesale market to buy goods. After that time frame, traders from markets in the province come to buy goods. Some young people come to buy lemongrass, lemons, and kumquats to prepare for selling lemon tea and kumquat tea the next day. In the early morning, many people come to buy retail vegetables, fruits, beans, chili, onions, garlic, etc. Not only do customers near the wholesale market come to buy retail, but many customers from other localities in the province also come to the market to buy.

“Quang Ngai City Agricultural Wholesale Market mainly sells agricultural products and fresh fruits. Prices change every day, but the retail price is not much different from the wholesale price,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Van, a vegetable vendor at the wholesale market.

To choose fresh and delicious products suitable for the family, Ms. Ung Thi Hong Phuong shared that she goes to wholesale markets to buy green vegetables and flowers, while fruits can be bought at retail markets because the vendors have selected good fruits and removed rotten ones. In addition, retail markets, stores, and supermarkets in Quang Ngai City all have fresh and delicious products, which are considered the strengths of each place.
