The proboscis monkey viewing trip usually lasts nearly two hours, traveling along the length of the river. The attraction is about 75 km from Kota Kinabalu city, the capital of Sabah state. The tour package costs 280 ringgit (about 1.4 million VND) per person, including boat, car from the city, tour guide, meals and travel insurance.
There are currently no direct flights from Vietnam to Kota Kinabalu. Travelers arriving in Kuala Lumpur then fly to Kota Kinabalu via Malaysia Airlines, which has daily flights to the area.
