Contribute to improving the quality of teaching and learning
Mr. Nguyen Phi, Chairman of Dong Khoi Secondary School Trade Union, said: "In addition to effectively implementing the tasks of the trade union, the trade union executive committee has coordinated with the school's leaders to effectively implement the goals and tasks of the school year such as innovating the content and form of organizing emulation movements, applying innovative teaching methods, closely following the topic, promoting the spirit of creatively applying lessons learned into teaching."
Dong Khoi Secondary School has 37 teachers, all of whom meet or exceed the standards. Right from the beginning of the school year, the union executive committee coordinated with the government to launch many emulation movements such as the Two Goods emulation movement; Building a friendly school for active students; Good workers; Creative workers; Green - clean - beautiful - safe movement; Good at schoolwork, good at housework... with 100% of staff and union members participating. In addition, the union and the school seriously implemented the movements Each teacher is an example of self-study and creativity; Democracy - Discipline - Love - Responsibility and Friendly school - Active students.
In particular, thanks to the effective implementation of the Good Teaching - Good Learning emulation movement in schools, teachers have focused on innovating teaching methods, effectively implementing the 2018 GeneralEducation Program for all classes; strengthening the training of excellent students and tutoring weak students in schools. The movement has brought practical results, the quality of education of the school has been increasingly improved. In the 2024-2025 school year alone, the whole school has 9 teachers participating in the District-level Excellent Teacher Competition, all of whom won prizes, including 2 first prizes, 1 second prize, 1 third prize and 1 consolation prize. The school's graduation rate has always been 100% for many consecutive years.
Continuously improving the quality of teaching and learning, from the 2022-2023 school year up to now, Dong Khoi Secondary School has been commended by the People's Committee of Tay Hoa district and the Provincial People's Committee for its achievements as an Advanced Labor Collective and an Excellent Labor Collective. The school's trade union was recognized by the Tay Hoa District Labor Federation as a unit that has excellently completed its tasks and was proposed for commendation by trade unions at all levels.
Many initiatives, experiences, scientific topics
According to Mr. Phi, thanks to promoting movements and emulation campaigns for good teaching and good learning, in the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years, the school had 18 topics and initiatives recognized by the Tay Hoa district initiative council. Many initiatives and topics are being effectively applied by the school throughout the school. Typical topics include: Some measures to teach the genre of Bài Chòi for 6th grade students at Dong Khoi Secondary School; Measures to apply information technology to homeroom work; Applying Canva technology in teaching Literature for 8th graders; Some measures to practice skills in drawing geographical charts...
The topic of Measures to apply information technology to the work of class management by Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, a Literature teacher, was highly appreciated by the initiative council, and she is currently being proposed for commendation by the Provincial People's Committee. This topic has contributed to innovating teaching methods, aiming to organize educational activities for students in the direction of creative experiences in the work of class management, improving the quality of teaching and learning; forming students' attitudes towards self-learning, practicing collective activity skills, communication, cooperation... This initiative has contributed to improving the quality of classroom management for class teachers as well as creating interest in learning for students.
In 2003, the People's Committee of Tay Hoa district decided to change the name of Hoa Thinh Secondary School to Dong Khoi Secondary School. For many years, Dong Khoi Secondary School has achieved many achievements in many fields. In particular, the trade union work has always promoted the role of caring for the lives and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of union members and workers and is considered a bright spot in the trade union work of a school unit.

Many individuals have built topics, initiatives and experiences that have been widely applied, bringing practical results to the school's teaching work.”
Caring for the lives of union members and workers
Dong Khoi Secondary School Trade Union is highly appreciated by Tay Hoa District Labor Federation in its activities to improve the lives of the school's staff and teachers.
Along with strengthening the supervision of salary payments to teachers, the union coordinates with the government to fully implement policies and regimes related to the legitimate rights and interests of civil servants and employees such as rank transfer, regular salary increase... 100% of union members participate in social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and accident insurance.
The union executive board also promptly encouraged and subsidized union members, workers, civil servants, laborers, and students in difficult circumstances. From the 2022-2023 school year up to now, on the occasion of holidays and Tet, the school union has given gifts to all union members worth more than 54 million VND.
In order to improve the spiritual and cultural life of union members, every year the school union organizes exchange activities, sports competitions, and visits to historical sites in and outside the province.
In addition to mobilizing union members to actively contribute to various funds, a very noteworthy activity of Dong Khoi Secondary School Union is to carry out social charity work well, helping many difficult circumstances. In the 2024-2025 school year, the union donated 65 gifts with a total value of nearly 22 million VND to students and people of Hoa Thinh commune.
