Many young people have early osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis is a common disease in the elderly and postmenopausal women, however, osteoporosis is now becoming increasingly younger.
A study by the Institute of Nutrition conducted on more than 300 customers aged 20-50 who came to measure bone density at the adult nutrition consultation clinic showed that the rate of osteoporosis in men was 4.6% and in women was 7.7% when measuring bone density at the lumbar spine. This rate was 5.7% in men and 6.9% in women when measuring bone density at the femoral neck.
According to Dr. Tran Chau Quyen - Head of the Department of Adult Nutrition Consultation, National Institute of Nutrition, this figure shows a very worrying reality about osteoporosis in young people. However, many people do not pay attention to this issue - especially the dangerous consequences later.
According to Dr. Tran Chau Quyen - Head of the Department of Adult Nutrition Consultation, National Institute of Nutrition, the main cause of this condition is the current diet lacking in food diversity, leading to a lack of calcium and essential micronutrients such as zinc in the diet. In addition, there is the problem of limited physical activity.
Osteoporosis is a disease that progresses silently, and in young people, the symptoms are sometimes not obvious. However, this disease leaves behind many consequences.
"Bone is the body's pillar, when the skeletal system is weak, the ability to support the body is poor. After the age of 50, the nervous system and coordination are poor, making it easy to fall and the ability to heal bones will not be as good as in young people. Sometimes just one fall can cause lifelong disability. From being an independent person, one becomes dependent on others," said Dr. Tran Chau Quyen.
In addition, people with calcium deficiency in their diet will often feel tired, weak and have sleep disorders.
To improve this condition, Dr. Tran Chau Quyen recommends paying attention to eating all food groups in your daily diet.
A series of Facebook groups were suddenly suspended.
Meta confirmed a technical issue caused a series of Facebook groups to suddenly be suspended from the afternoon of June 24.
"We are aware of a technical issue that has affected some Facebook groups," a Meta representative responded. "We are working to fix the issue."
The social network did not specify the cause, but some technology experts believe the situation may be due to Facebook's increased AI censorship.
Currently, Facebook groups are gradually being restored and can post content normally. However, many group names are still displayed as "Group title pending".
Many Facebook groups in Vietnam and around the world, including groups with hundreds of thousands of members, have been suspended, renamed, or stopped operating. Many administrators' personal accounts have had their features restricted, they cannot send messages, and fanpages linked to the groups have also been locked.
On Reddit, Facebook group administrators claim to always comply with Meta's regulations and regularly censor "sensitive" content. Many say their groups only focus on "harmless" content such as savings tips, parenting support, pet love, gaming, mechanical keyboard passion... Some have even paid for the Meta Verified identity authentication package that offers priority customer support, but have still been suspended or deleted completely.
In 2022, a series of Facebook accounts were also locked and could not be appealed.
AVC Nations Cup 2025 Men's Volleyball Rankings: Vietnam Ranks Above Thailand
The 2025 AVC Nations Cup men's volleyball tournament has officially ended. And the order of the teams has also been determined.
Host Bahrain came from behind to beat Pakistan 3-1 to win the AVC Nations Cup for the first time. Meanwhile, this is the second consecutive year Pakistan finished second.
In the third-place match, 2024 champions Qatar defeated South Korea 3-0 to win the bronze medal. And South Korea finished fourth overall.
Indonesia finished in sixth place, after losing to Australia in the fifth-place match. Indonesia was also the highest-ranked Southeast Asian team at this year’s AVC Nations Cup. This is also the second consecutive year that the region has not had a team in the top five.
The best result of Southeast Asian men's volleyball came in 2023, when Thailand won the championship and Vietnam finished fourth.
As for the Vietnamese men's volleyball team, they left the tournament in 8th place, below 7th place Chinese Taipei. Year after year, coach Tran Dinh Tien's team is showing decreasing results. In 2023, they ranked 4th, and in 2024, they ranked 6th.
At this year's AVC Nations Cup, the Vietnamese team played well. However, they also revealed many problems. Therefore, the Vietnamese team only had 1 win and 4 losses.
Ranked 9th is Thailand. In this year's tournament, this team fell into a very strong group including host Bahrain and Indonesia. That is the reason why Thailand could not get a ticket to the quarterfinals like Vietnam.
US CDC vaccine report cites bogus research
A review of the use of the preservative thimerosal in vaccines is scheduled to be presented to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)'s external vaccine committee on June 26.
According to Reuters on June 25, the report, titled "Thimerosal as a Vaccine Preservative" was posted on the CDC website on June 24 and is expected to be presented by Lyn Redwood - former head of the anti-vaccine group Children's Health Defense - before the above vaccine committee.
The report refers to a study called “Low-Level Thimerosal Exposure in Infants: Long-Term Consequences for the Brain” published in the journal Neurotoxicology in 2008 and co-authored by professor emeritus Robert Berman of the University of California, Davis (UC Davis).
The report argues that there are sufficient thimerosal-free flu vaccines available and that all pregnant women, infants and children should receive only these vaccines.
Mr Berman, the scientist listed as lead author of the study cited in the report, said he “disagrees with the misrepresentation in the study” and said the report cited a study that did not exist.
Mr. Berman said he was a co-author of a study with a similar name but published in a different journal, Toxicological Sciences, and that his conclusions differed from those of Ms. Redwood in the report.
First quantum computer launched into space
A quantum computer launched into orbit on a SpaceX rocket on June 23 will pave the way for future applications in climate and Earth observation.
According to Interesting Engineering, this is the first time a photonic quantum computer has been launched into space. Developed by an international research team led by Philip Walther at the University of Vienna, this compact system launched on June 23 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from California. The processor is expected to start operating at an altitude of about 550 km above Earth.
Designing a quantum computer to operate in orbit poses major technical challenges. A team at the University of Vienna is building a device to withstand the extreme temperature changes, radiation, and vibrations of spaceflight.
In a crucial phase, the 12-member team spent four weeks assembling the satellite in a sterile room at the German Aerospace Center's Reactive Space Cluster Competence Center in Trauen. They completed the flight model in just 11 working days. The satellite is expected to begin transmitting results about a week after entering orbit.
