According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Tri, the seedlings, materials and fertilizers were transported safely in rainy and flood conditions, ensuring quality before handover. The Dien Truc bamboo tree was chosen because it is suitable for the local climate and soil, easy to care for, provides stable bamboo shoot yield and high economic value.

At the handover ceremony, the Border Guard and technical staff directly instructed the villagers on planting and care techniques and provided fertilizer support. This model is also linked to the content of the agreement on the residential clusters on both sides of the border on December 22, 2024, demonstrating the long-term connection between Vietnam and Laos.
Mr. Dinh Cu (Thuong Trach commune) shared on VietNamNet that the people's lives are still difficult, mainly depending on agriculture. Bringing the Dien Truc bamboo variety to the village will open up a direction for sustainable development, create more jobs, increase income and improve the lives of the people.

Lieutenant Colonel Ho Phu Vinh, Deputy Political Commissar of the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command, emphasized that this is a practical activity to strengthen border security, open up a direction for sustainable economic development, and at the same time foster special solidarity between the people of the two countries.
The bamboo planting model is expected to continue to expand in the coming time, contributing to improving life, protecting the ecological environment and promoting long-term development cooperation in border areas.
