Dien Bien considers education a breakthrough for sustainable development.

On August 15, at the Provincial Conference and Cultural Center, the first Congress of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term took place. In addition to discussing and resolving many important issues, education and training were identified as one of the key tasks.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Nguyen Van Doat - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee said that the quality of education in the province continues to be improved, contributing to the development of human resources and improving the people's knowledge. The work of universalizing education, building national standard schools, improving the quality of teachers is focused; the new general education program, innovation in teaching methods, testing and evaluation have achieved many positive results.

During the past term, the province has directed increased investment in infrastructure and equipment, especially in remote areas and ethnic minority areas. Many training programs for managers and teachers have been implemented; socialization of education has been promoted, attracting organizations, individuals and businesses inside and outside the province.

However, the quality of education between regions is still different; facilities in some places are lacking; the teaching staff for some subjects does not meet requirements; maintaining student numbers in disadvantaged areas is still a challenge.

Entering the 2025-2030 term, the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee continue to consider education as a breakthrough, focusing on improving the quality of teachers, innovating teaching content and methods, promoting the application of information technology and digital transformation. The province also aims to invest synchronously in facilities, expand the non-public education model, strengthen international cooperation; maintain and improve the quality of universal education at all levels; focus on vocational education, career orientation for students linked to local labor needs.

Along with that, policies to support ethnic minority students and students in difficult circumstances continue to be implemented; the movement "Teach well - Learn well" is widely launched; a safe and healthy educational environment is built; the new general education program is linked with innovation in testing, evaluation and improving the effectiveness of school management.

With high political determination, the Congress passed a Resolution aiming to comprehensively develop the province's education and training quality, meet integration requirements, create a foundation to improve the quality of human resources, and contribute to the successful implementation of socio-economic goals in the new period.
