In his opening speech, journalist Nguyen Linh Anh - Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of Business Forum Magazine said: 30 years ago, on November 5, 1993, Business Forum Newspaper was officially established. The 30-year journey of establishment and development of the Business Forum is also the period of formation and development of the Vietnamese business community and enterprises in the renovation period.

The magazine has performed well the tasks of informing and propagating the Party's guidelines, policies, and Resolutions, the State's policies and laws; the activities of VCCI, the Vietnamese business community and entrepreneurs, contributing to the realization of the goal of a rich people, a strong country, a fair, democratic and civilized society; participating in launching and organizing patriotic emulation movements, discovering and setting examples of typical and advanced collectives and individuals.

In addition, the Magazine also focuses on building and setting itself the mission of a strong media agency; Building a team of cadres and reporters with a firm stance and viewpoint, good at expertise, professionalism and professional ethics.

The Business Forum is also a bridge to bring business opinions to the authorities. The Business Forum has actively participated in law-making activities and improving the business environment. This is demonstrated through the implementation of a series of Forums and Workshops to collect opinions from businesses and entrepreneurs participating in the Draft Amendments to a number of important Laws such as the Law on Tax Administration, the Land Law, the Criminal Procedure Law, the Cyber ​​Security Law, the Planning Law, the Draft Law on Special Economic Administrative Units... Each year, the Magazine builds from 15 to 25 Forums across all three regions: North - Central - South...

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Business Forum, the staff, reporters and editors of the Business Forum were honored to receive the Emulation Flag of VCCI for the Magazine; Certificate of Merit from the Central Propaganda Department for the Magazine; Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the Magazine.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Le Quoc Minh said that the development process of Business Forum Magazine with many publications and works shows the efforts of the entire leadership and the force of nearly 150 officers and reporters in the current difficult context.

“We believe that with the very clear instructions of the leaders of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the determination of the leaders of the Business Forum Magazine, the orientation towards pioneering, innovation, and humanity is a very suitable direction,” Mr. Le Quoc Minh believes.

The President of the Vietnam Journalists Association said that the press in general and the Vietnamese press in particular are facing an important milestone, a “crossroads” where we must decide which direction to take in order to continue developing, thereby bringing the voice of the Party and State to the people and the business community. At the same time, we must continue to maintain the forum of businesses and people for the Party and the State.

Recently, the Ministry of Information and Communications has had a set of indicators to assess the level of digital transformation of press agencies and has specific instructions. Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh hopes that press agencies will participate to join in the synchronous digital transformation of press nationwide.

In addition, Mr. Le Quoc Minh also acknowledged the active participation of the Business Forum magazine in responding to the movement to build a cultural environment in press agencies, contributing to rekindling the trust of the public and readers with articles, content, and orientations of humane and ethical nature. In cases of violations of press regulations leading to violations, even legal ones, the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Journalists Association will resolutely and strictly handle them, to clean up the Vietnamese press environment in the coming time.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh said that we need to continue to develop, take advantage of new advances, and continue to be an important pillar of the Vietnamese press. In 2024, we will have very important preparations for the 100-year milestone of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press. The Central Propaganda Department has given clear instructions, early next year it is expected that there will be many activities towards professionalism, many conferences, seminars, and activities to mark the 100-year milestone... The Vietnam Journalists Association also plans to organize the 2024 National Press Festival early next year, including the first National Press Forum held on a large scale, according to international standards.

Over the past year, the Vietnam Journalists Association has signed an agreement with the VCCI, affirming the pivotal role of the business community and entrepreneurs. We affirm that the Vietnam Journalists Association will continue to accompany the VCCI to promote more businesses, especially those that do well and achieve efficiency that need to be honored,” affirmed the President of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, said that the development process of enterprises and entrepreneurs cannot be without the support of the press. To develop the economy, in addition to the "main force" of entrepreneurs and enterprises, the "press army" is an important force, playing a decisive role in orienting public opinion and spreading it to society.

According to Mr. Lam, 30 years ago, in the early 90s, the early years of the renovation process, the Business Forum Newspaper as well as many other press agencies clearly demonstrated the innovation in thinking and action of the Party, the State and all social classes.

During its formation and development, Business Forum Magazine has had many sharp and in-depth articles on the business life of Vietnamese enterprises and entrepreneurs, contributing many valuable opinions; being a bridge to convey the voice of enterprises and entrepreneurs to the Party, the State and the Government, contributing to the economic development of the country.

The Business Forum also actively participates in the process of consulting and criticizing economic, trade and investment policies, contributing to improving the business environment, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of businesses and entrepreneurs; as well as organizing meaningful programs such as the National Startup Program, etc.

Practice also shows that the relationship between the press, media and businesses is always an organic relationship, accompanying development. Mr. Lam hopes that, with its long tradition and resilience, the Business Forum will continue to be a bridge between the business community and the Party and the State. At the same time, it will develop to match its role throughout its 30-year history, fulfilling its noble mission as the mouthpiece of VCCI, the voice of the Vietnamese business community.
