Save the Children International has been implementing projects in Lao Cai since 2013, focusing on three main areas: education ; school health and nutrition; child protection. By 2022, the program "Supporting Youth to Implement Initiatives" was put into practice in Vietnam, making its mark in three localities: Hanoi, Lao Cai and An Giang.

In Lao Cai , from 2022 to present, more than 60 secondary and high schools have participated in the program, with nearly 1,000 students given the opportunity to develop skills and carry out community initiatives.

At the forum, 27 "shifters" - students selected based on the criteria of being dynamic, voluntary, responsible and passionate about social activities - launched their team and introduced the 2025 communication initiative. With the theme "Preventing verbal violence and cyberbullying", they took on all the content from introduction, coordination to program design, under the project's professional advice.
The forum was also an opportunity for teachers from 60 project schools to observe how students implemented the initiative, thereby gaining more experience to support media initiative clubs at their schools.

At the forum, delegates also visited the exhibition space of paintings and media products made by shifter group members. These works reflect the perspective of teenagers on verbal violence and its impact on students' psychology, while also sending a message about building a safe and positive school environment in the digital space.

According to the plan, after the forum, the shifter group's campaign will continue to be deployed in schools through interactive activities, creative products and media content created by students themselves. The goal is to raise awareness of verbal violence, spread positive communication attitudes and build a safe and civilized school environment.
