'Shaolin Soccer' actor Nicholas Tse passed away due to a heart attack

According to HK01 , Tse Chi-hwa passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 64. On October 24, an obituary posted by Tse Chi-hwa's son, Tse Thien-en, briefly explained the funeral arrangements for his father.

Actor Nicholas Tse passed away at the age of 64.

"My father, Ta Chi Hoa, passed away on October 22, 2024, due to a heart attack at the age of 64. We will hold a memorial service at the Shenzhen Funeral Home at noon on October 26 so that relatives and friends can come and pay their respects in person. The funeral procession and cremation will be held at 2 p.m. the same day," the obituary read.

Nicholas Tse has been acting since 1988, participating in more than 20 films, although he only played supporting roles. His most familiar role was the bar owner in Shaolin Soccer , which was released in 2001 and grossed about 50 million USD worldwide. The film also starred Vicki Zhao, Ng Man Tat, Nicholas Tse, Tien Kai Man... and brought Stephen Chow the Best Actor and Best Director awards at the Hong Kong Film Awards.
