Adjusting the Support and Resettlement Project for Long Thanh International Airport

(Chinhphu.vn) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 401/QD-TTg approving adjustments to the Land Acquisition, Compensation, Support and Resettlement Project for Long Thanh International Airport (Project).

Adjusting the Support and Resettlement Project for Long Thanh International Airport.

Specifically, Decision No. 401/QD-TTg adjusts the scope of implementation of the Project (stipulated in Point c, Clause 7, Article 1 of Decision No. 1487/QD-TTg): Implement land acquisition, compensation, support, and resettlement on areas in Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province:

- Land for airport construction: 5,000 ha.

- Land for construction of Residential and Resettlement Area Loc An - Binh Son: 284.7 ha.

- Land for construction of part of Sub-area III of Binh Son Residential and Resettlement Area: 81.86 ha.

- Land for infrastructure reconstruction outside the airport boundary: 32.65 ha.

Reduce Project Investment Level

Decision No. 401/QD-TTg also adjusted the total investment (stipulated in Clause 8, Article 1 of Decision No. 1487/QD-TTg) from VND 22,856 billion to VND 19,207.504 billion, of which:

- Construction of infrastructure for resettlement areas: 2,324,865 billion VND.

- Re-establishing infrastructure outside the airport boundary: VND 553,739 billion.

- Compensation, support, resettlement: 15,995,900 billion VND.

- Vocational training, job creation, stabilizing people's lives: 306 billion VND.

- Prepare Feasibility Study Report for Project 27 billion VND.

Adjust Project Implementation Time

Decision No. 401/QD-TTg also adjusts the time for preparation and implementation of the Project (stipulated in Clause 10, Article 1 of Decision No. 1487/QD-TTg): From 2017 to the end of 2024.

At the same time, adjust component projects with construction components (stipulated in Clause 11, Article 1 of Decision No. 1487/QD-TTg), including:

(1) Technical infrastructure system of residential and resettlement areas in Loc An commune - Binh Son;

(2) Social works of Residential and resettlement areas in Loc An commune - Binh Son;

(3) Re-establishing technical infrastructure - social infrastructure outside the boundary of Long Thanh International Airport.

Other contents remain unchanged and are implemented according to Decision No. 1487/QD-TTg.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to continue to properly perform the assigned responsibilities in Clause 1, Article 2 of Decision No. 1487/QD-TTg, including adjusting the corresponding component projects (if any).

Receive the opinions of the members of the State Appraisal Council, the opinions stated in the Report on the appraisal results of the Project's adjusted Feasibility Study Report of the State Appraisal Council and the opinions of relevant agencies; organize the implementation of the next steps of the Project in accordance with legal regulations, ensure the progress of land handover for investment in the construction of Long Thanh International Airport; carry out the investment, construction of residential areas, resettlement to ensure the aspirations of the people, avoid complaints and lawsuits. Take full responsibility before the law, inspection and examination agencies for the process of reviewing, appraising, approving, implementing, determining investment costs, and investment efficiency of the Project. Timely report to the Prime Minister , relevant ministries and branches on difficulties and problems arising during the implementation of the Project.

Central ministries and branches continue to perform in accordance with the assigned responsibilities in Clause 2, Article 2 of Decision No. 1487/QD-TTg.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Ministry of Transport coordinate and guide the People's Committee of Dong Nai province in the process of land acquisition, compensation and resettlement support.
