Correcting students' deviant behaviors

On the morning of November 27, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training coordinated with the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education to organize a seminar on strengthening coordination between families, schools and society in educating children, pupils and students in the new period.

Speaking at the seminar, Permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong said that coordinating family, school and society in educating children, pupils and students is a regular task in the education sector, but now it is placed in a new context.

In reality, education and training have never received as much attention and expectation from the Party, the State and society as they do today. This expectation and attention is reflected in a series of issued mechanisms and policies, especially Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development.

Affirming the importance of the Dialogue, Permanent Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong asked delegates to focus on core issues. Specifically, assessing the current state of coordination work in recent times, thereby drawing lessons from successful experiences, limited content, good models; proposing solutions, policies and mechanisms to better implement this work...

Reporting at the Seminar, Director of the Department of Students (Ministry of Education and Training) Hoang Duc Minh said that the Ministry of Education and Training has advised the Government to issue and simultaneously issued documents related to the content of school-family-society coordination under its authority; the system of documents has increased the effectiveness of coordination work. The coordination and implementation in counseling, supporting and educating students in recent times has achieved certain results, promoting the role of social forces actively participating in the cause of education and training.

Many forms of attracting family participation in school education have been implemented more appropriately. Families have paid more attention to education and proactively met, coordinated, and exchanged information with schools more in solving problems in counseling, supporting, and educating students.

When developing school year plans, educational institutions have focused on establishing close relationships between schools, families and society through homeroom teachers, electronic contact books and social networking platforms (zalo, facebook, email).

This helps the school regularly grasp the family situation, circumstances, and psychological developments of students; promptly inform parents about their students' learning and training results, psychological fluctuations to encourage, share, and adjust deviant behaviors...

Besides the positive results achieved, the coordination between schools, families and society in consulting, supporting and educating students still has shortcomings and limitations.

That is, lack of synchronization, differences in educational methods lead to inconsistent effects on students' development.

There are still many families and parents who do not fully understand the role of educational coordination between family and school, so there needs to be effective solutions and implementation in the coming time...
