Traffic police officer suspended for calling violators "you" and "I"

(Dan Tri) - After a clip of a traffic police officer yelling and calling violators "you" and "I" went viral on social media, PC08 Department suspended a police major from Tan Tuc Traffic Police Station to clarify and handle the matter.

On February 9, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department (PC08) suspended a police major from Tan Tuc Traffic Police Station (Binh Chanh District) for violating cultural behavior towards violators that occurred on the evening of February 7.

According to PC08, social media users have just spread a clip of an officer of Tan Tuc Traffic Police Station violating cultural conduct and using inappropriate words towards the violator. Upon receiving the information, the leaders of PC08 have requested the police officers and related units to report the incident.

Traffic police yell and curse at girl violating traffic rules in HCMC

According to the report, at around 6:30 p.m. on February 7, a patrol team from Tan Tuc Traffic Police Station measured alcohol levels at Nguyen Van Linh roundabout, Binh Chanh district. The team discovered a girl driving a motorbike on Le Kha Phieu street (from Nguyen Huu Tri to Long An ).

This person entered the restricted road at Nguyen Van Linh roundabout, the officers stopped the vehicle for inspection. During the inspection, the violator did not cooperate but used his phone to record and call other people, causing frustration for the officers.

Due to lack of emotional control, the traffic police officer made inappropriate comments as reflected in the clip. Therefore, the leader of PC08 Department has decided to temporarily suspend the above officer for verification and handling according to regulations.

Previously, social media users shared a clip recording the scene where an officer of Tan Tuc Traffic Police Station continuously shouted and called "you" and "me" to a girl who was talking softly, asking to call her friend to borrow money.

In the clip, the traffic police officer repeatedly shouted: "Are you deaf? Are you deaf? Put the key in, do you understand Vietnamese? What am I saying to you, do you understand... Call me. Are you kidding me?" After the conversation, the officer took the girl's motorbike key and left.
