BHG - On the afternoon of February 11, the working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee led by Comrade Hau A Lenh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister - Chairman of the Ethnic Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee had a working session with the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee to deploy Resolution No. 11-NQ/TW dated February 10, 2022 of the Politburo on socio-economic development orientations, ensuring national defense and security in the Northern midland and mountainous region until 2030, with a vision to 2045; Decision No. 369 - QD/TTg dated May 4, 2024 of the Prime Minister approving the planning of the Northern midland and mountainous region for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. At the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Trinh Xuan Truong reported on the socio-economic development, national defense and security, Party building and political system in recent years. Especially in 2024, despite the loss of more than 7 trillion VND due to storm No. 3 (Yagi), Lao Cai province still achieved many positive results: The total value of import and export, purchase and sale, and exchange of goods through border gates by the end of 2024 reached 3,377 million USD; budget revenue reached 12,889 billion VND; the number of tourists reached 9 million; the poverty rate was about 11% poor and near-poor households...

Highly appreciating the results of socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security of Ha Giang province in recent years, especially in 2024, to continue effectively implementing Resolution No. 11-NQ/TW dated February 10, 2022 of the Politburo and   Decision No. 369/QD-TTg dated May 4, 2024 of the Prime Minister, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lao Cai province Trinh Xuan Truong proposed a number of solutions on cooperation between Lao Cai and Ha Giang provinces focusing on the following areas: Cooperation in researching and proposing to perfect mechanisms, policies, and orientations for local development associated with strengthening regional linkages; Cooperation in developing inter-regional transport infrastructure systems; Cooperation in the field of Agriculture; Cooperation in the field of Tourism, trade - services; Cooperation on business development space and urban development.

At the working session, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Huy Ngoc gave an overview of Ha Giang province, emphasizing the potential and advantages of Ha Giang province, and at the same time wishing to cooperate with Lao Cai province in the fields of agricultural development, mining industry, tourism and services.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister - Chairman of the Ethnic Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh expressed his impression of the achievements of Lao Cai province, especially in the 2020 - 2025 term. He emphasized that Ha Giang and Lao Cai provinces have many similarities such as being border provinces, having a large number of ethnic minorities, and having a unique climate sub-region. Lao Cai is the source of the Red River, Ha Giang is the source of the Lo River, the two rivers together contribute to creating a rich and fertile Red River Delta. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh hopes that in the coming time, Lao Cai province will continue to exchange and share experiences, promote cooperation between the two provinces, especially in areas of strength such as mineral exploitation and processing, planning development and implementation, especially planning on transportation and socio-economic infrastructure.
