The Provincial National Assembly Delegation worked with An Giang Electricity Company

On the morning of October 15, the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province held a working session with An Giang Electricity Company (PC An Giang) to grasp information on the situation of production, business and electricity supply in the first 9 months of 2025, the implementation plan for the remaining months of the year, operation, investment in the transmission and distribution grid; and exchange opinions, contributions and recommendations of voters related to the electricity industry.

Director of PC An Giang Nguyen Phuoc Quy Hung said that in the first 9 months of 2025, PC An Giang performed well in providing electricity to serve socio -economic development, meeting the needs of agricultural production, industry, services, tourism and daily life of people in the province.

Currently, PC An Giang manages and sells electricity to 825,755 customers, of which 759,928 customers use electricity for domestic purposes (92%) and 65,827 customers for non-domestic purposes (8%).

Regarding voters' opinions about the use of electronic electricity meters which are more difficult to see the electricity output than mechanical electricity meters and have higher output, Director of PC An Giang Nguyen Phuoc Quy Hung said that mechanical electricity meters and electronic electricity meters have both been tested by independent inspection units and have met the requirements before being installed on the grid.

In addition to displaying the electricity usage index, the electronic electricity meter also displays current and voltage, detects leakage current to support electricity customers in monitoring and promptly detecting defects in the line after the meter for timely repair.

In addition, with the installation of electronic electricity meters, the electricity industry applies technology to link electricity consumption output on the customer care app, customers can monitor daily electricity usage without having to directly look at the electricity meter... and many other applications to improve the quality of customer service.

Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province Ly Anh Thu acknowledged the opinions and recommendations of PC An Giang.

At the meeting, PC An Giang proposed that the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province continue to support and provide timely information to voters at meetings on the electricity sector's implementation of electricity prices as well as other policies according to the Government's policies and regulations, and current regulations.

At the same time, it is recommended that the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province promptly inform the An Giang People's Committee of voters' opinions and recommendations related to the electricity sector's activities (if any), in order to promptly grasp, research and have official and complete responses to the delegation and voters.
