In front of the majestic and sacred Monument of the Fatherland at the Martyrs Temple at the 468 High Point and the Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery, with respect and gratitude, the delegation offered flowers and incense to commemorate and pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed to protect the independence and freedom of the nation for the happiness of the people and the integrity of the national territory. The Temple of the Heroic Martyrs at the 468 high point is located in Nam Ngat village, Thanh Thuy commune (Vi Xuyen district). More than 40 years ago, generations of cadres and soldiers of the main army units and many local army units fought steadfastly and bravely on the land of Thanh Thuy, Vi Xuyen. They took to heart the oath "Living on the rocks to fight the enemy, dying on the rocks to be immortal". The victory of our army and people was immense, but the losses and casualties were also very painful. More than 4,000 cadres and soldiers from many rural areas across the country lay down their lives in Vi Xuyen; their blood colored the flag of determination to fight and win of the heroic Vietnam People's Army; Their bodies merged with the Motherland, so that the Fatherland will be forever peaceful and eternal.
