Ho Chi Minh City leadership delegation visits outstanding artists

On October 17, a delegation of leaders of Ho Chi Minh City led by Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, visited outstanding artists on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The delegation visited 5 artists at Thi Nghe Nursing Center including artist Huynh Thanh Tra, artist Mac Can, meritorious artist Dieu Hien, artist Ngoc Dang, and artist Lam Son.

Since the beginning of 2024, the City Theater Association has coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports to propose to the City People's Committee to bring artists to Thi Nghe Nursing Center to take care of them properly.

At Thi Nghe Nursing Center, the artists' eating and medical care conditions are well guaranteed by the Center according to the prescribed regimes. The artists are arranged in a separate area for convenience in their daily activities as well as for visits from organizations, individuals and artists.

Visiting artists at Thi Nghe Nursing Center, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc and other delegates acknowledged the contributions of artists to the city's literature and arts over the past 50 years.

The delegation kindly visited and encouraged the artists to stay healthy and continue to live happily with their loved ones, in the love of their fans.

Visiting People's Artist Tra Giang, People's Artist was delighted to be visited by city leaders on the occasion of summarizing 50 years of Ho Chi Minh City Literature and Arts.

People's Artist Tra Giang shared that since stopping acting in films, she has begun to enter another artistic world, which is painting. "Every day I find peace through painting. I am happier when my works can help children in difficult circumstances," People's Artist Tra Giang confided.

Although not appearing on screen, People's Artist Tra Giang always participates in major cinema events of the country and Ho Chi Minh City as a positive source of encouragement for today's young generation of artists.

In the warm atmosphere of the visit, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, wished People's Artist Tra Giang to always be young, healthy, and continue to have many valuable paintings to help life.

During the day, the delegation visited director and writer Xuan Phuong, poet Le Giang and musician Pham Minh Tuan.

Visiting musician Pham Minh Tuan, author of the song "Unforgettable Song", he said that over the past 50 years, Ho Chi Minh City Literature and Arts have had many remarkable marks.

Looking ahead to the upcoming major holidays such as the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the country, the city should proactively organize creative campaigns to create great and valuable works. “The city should directly invest in each author to create long-lasting works,” musician Pham Minh Tuan suggested.
