More than 2,500 members join the Red Cross Society of Phu Giao commune

On October 21, Phu Giao commune (HCMC) announced and awarded the decision to establish the commune Red Cross Association with 2,524 members.

At the conference, the decision to recognize the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Standing Board and Provisional Inspection Committee of Phu Giao Commune Red Cross Society, consisting of 27 comrades, was announced.

Approved Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh, Specialist of the Office of the People's Council - People's Committee of the Commune to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Association; Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh, Specialist of the Office of the People's Council - People's Committee of the Commune to hold the position of Vice Chairwoman of the Association.

Phu Giao Commune Red Cross Society was established on the basis of merging units, including: An Binh Commune Red Cross Society, Phuoc Vinh town and Dong Tam and Gia Bien hamlets of Tam Lap commune (formerly).

Mr. Vu Van Hung, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society and local leaders presented the decision to establish the Phu Giao Commune Red Cross Society.

Currently, the association has 33 branches with a total of 2,524 active members.

The establishment of the association is an important milestone, contributing to improving the effectiveness of local humanitarian activities, promoting the Red Cross movement of the commune in connection with the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross system.
