DNO - On November 25, at the announcement ceremony of the Da Nang City Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Group, said that Da Nang has many opportunities to become the Silicon Valley in Vietnam, including developing the semiconductor industry.

According to Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Da Nang announced the City Planning at a historic moment, when Vietnam was chosen as the destination and fulcrum for the semiconductor industry.
This is the time when small chips made by Vietnamese people have the potential to contribute to the future of the country.
"I want to mention the formation and development of Silicon Valley (USA). This place has many young talents, many smart ideas, many investment capital sources... Personally, I and FPT Group see that future in Da Nang," said Mr. Binh.
Da Nang has sea, river, mountain, natural beauty. This is an attractive place for everyone to visit. And in fact, many famous people in the world have visited and worked in Da Nang.
At the same time, there are many advantages. Among them, the number of universities/population is the highest in the country, with students accounting for 10% of the population.
Currently, Intel, Synopsys and many other large information technology and semiconductor companies in the world are in Da Nang. Recently, Da Nang Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quang had meetings with many organizations and businesses in the US and had strategic cooperation. The city has the opportunity to be a new destination for the world's semiconductor industry.
According to Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Vietnam now has 1 million IT engineers, half a million software engineers, and is the second largest country in software exports after India.
Mr. Binh said that FPT is currently training 17,500 students and also opening a semiconductor training program. FPT has met with the world's leading semiconductor chip company to discuss human resource plans. That is a human resource serving not only Vietnam but also the US, Japan, Taiwan (China) and other countries.
In the coming time, FPT will actively and proactively contribute with Da Nang city in human resource planning, training high-quality human resources for the semiconductor industry and building the city into a Silicon Valley in Vietnam.
