Khanh Hoa businesses need to proactively prepare data and AI capabilities to lead the market

Overview of the event.

The workshop was co-organized by MISA Joint Stock Company (MISA) with the Department of Science and Technology (KH&CN) of Khanh Hoa province, Khanh Hoa Informatics Association, Khanh Hoa Young Entrepreneurs Association, Nha Trang Tourism Association with the aim of focusing on discussing changes in the economy in the AI era and how to apply this technology to improve corporate governance efficiency.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the workshop, Mr. Pham Quoc Hoan - Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Science and Technology emphasized: "Today's workshop is extremely important, a forum for us to exchange, discuss and propose solutions to solve this problem. The application of artificial intelligence (AI) and smart data is the key to changing the mindset, management and operation of businesses, helping businesses improve performance, increase competitiveness and develop sustainably in the digital age".

Opening the program, Dr. Can Van Luc - Chief Economist of BIDV, Member of the Prime Minister's Policy Advisory Council analyzed the picture of the world economy and Vietnam in the period of 2025-2026. He commented that the world economy is growing slowly, reaching only 2.8% (2024), lower than the years before the pandemic. Inflation and interest rates, although decreasing, remain high, while global trade is only growing slowly. Unstable factors such as geopolitical conflicts; war, fragmentation and trade protectionism, public debt risks, private debt, and a series of security risks are major challenges.

In this context, Vietnam is still considered a bright spot when growth drivers recover quite evenly (consumption, exports, FDI, public investment, services). The macro foundation is consolidated, exchange rate, bad debt and inflation are under control. However, Vietnam still faces many challenges such as slow public investment disbursement, weak private consumption and investment, input cost pressure and requirements for digital and green transformation.

To cope with the challenges, Dr. Can Van Luc recommends that businesses take advantage of support policies, optimize operations, streamline the apparatus and reduce costs. In the long term, businesses need to focus on two important strategic trends: digital transformation and green transformation, especially AI application.

According to a survey by TechUK (2024), the fields that use AI the most are marketing (54%), technology (39%) and finance (16%). “AI application is a strategic issue, not just a technology issue,” Dr. Can Van Luc affirmed. To grow sustainably, businesses need to prepare a strong technology foundation, develop human resources and exploit opportunities from AI.

Sharing the same opinion with Dr. Can Van Luc, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of MISA Joint Stock Company emphasized that "AI can help businesses make data-based decisions at the highest levels of difficulty".

Keeping up with the trend of applying AI in management, MISA developed the MISA AVA AI Assistant, integrated into the MISA AMIS Unified Enterprise Management Platform. MISA AVA helps businesses quickly query data, provide visual reports and in-depth analysis, creating a solid foundation for strategic decisions. At the same time, with AI technology and data analysis, MISA AVA also forecasts important indicators, supports flexible management, and optimizes operational efficiency.

The application of AI helps increase customer care productivity by 1.71 times by employing 350 people but working as 600 people, while optimizing financial processes, automating accounting and supporting businesses to access capital faster. Currently, more than 5,000 businesses have been granted a loan limit of 30,000 billion VND through MISA's AI platform, with a successful disbursement rate 10 times higher than conventional methods.

In 2025, MISA will continue to deploy the AI Agent and OneAI platforms to carry out the mission of "popularizing AI" for businesses. AI Agent creates AI assistants for each field and industry that can automatically perform tasks, helping businesses optimize work processing time and improve productivity. OneAI is a platform that integrates many AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok... into a single system. Instead of having to buy many individual accounts, businesses only need to provide one OneAI account to employees to flexibly use many AI models. OneAI is not only cost-effective but also easy to manage, clearly decentralizes and ensures data security, while helping businesses monitor the effectiveness of AI usage for proper deployment.

In conclusion, Mr. Hoang emphasized that, firstly, applying AI in businesses is an inevitable trend to increase efficiency and productivity. Second, leaders must pioneer in using AI and encourage all employees to use it. Third, choosing AI tools and enterprise management to integrate available AI for quick deployment. Businesses need to proactively prepare data and AI capabilities to lead the market.

Facing the inevitable trend of technology application and digital transformation, Mr. Pham Quoc Hoan - Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Science and Technology shared about the orientation of digital transformation in Khanh Hoa province from 2025 to 2030, especially Resolution No. 48-NQ/TU and Resolution 01-NQ/TU. In which he emphasized: “The competitiveness of Khanh Hoa enterprises is not only the advantage of each unit, but also the competitiveness of the whole province. This is also the spirit that runs through the major resolutions of the Central and the province: taking science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as the key driving force for breakthroughs. When enterprises proactively invest in technology, comprehensive digital transformation and innovation, it also means that Khanh Hoa is realizing the goals set out in Resolution 48-NQ/TU and Resolution 01-NQ/TU - that is, building a strong digital economy, a smart, sustainable city, rising to the leading group of the country and affirming its position on par with the Asian region.”
