This Gen AI solution has helped SGF streamline its global export document processing workflow, improving compliance and operational speed. The initiative was built and implemented by Cloud Kinetics, an award-winning cloud and data transformation partner, and powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) Gen AI technology.
As a member of Maruha Nichiro Group (Japan) and a key export partner to demanding markets such as Japan and soon to be EU, US, Korea..., SGF regularly processes large volumes of multilingual specialized documents. These documents include production processes, HACCP, MSC, BRC, ISO certifications, test reports, product labels and translation requirements mainly between Vietnamese, Japanese and English.
Previous manual translation processes were time-consuming, costly and prone to errors in food terminology, posing a risk to strict international safety standards, affecting reputation and export processes.
To address this challenge, SGF partnered with Cloud Kinetics to build a dedicated AI Translation Platform, leveraging the power of AWS's cutting-edge AI Gen services such as Amazon Translate: high-speed automated translation; Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 3.5 on Amazon Bedrock: standardizing industry-specific terminology (e.g., HACCP, ISO) and ensuring contextual accuracy.
In addition, OCR technology and automated processes: process different file types (DOCX, PDF, XLSX, PPTX, images), while preserving the formatting and integrity of the document.
Document translation and processing times are reduced by more than 75% thanks to automatic formatting capabilities, enabling the SGF team to respond faster to international partners, especially for urgent shipments and routine inspections.
Ensuring international standards: Food terminology and HACCP/ISO safety standards are unified across languages, minimizing legal risks and standardizing product packaging.
Translation and manual editing costs are reduced by 45%, allowing employees to focus on research and development, improving product quality.
In-house AI systems provide complete control over language, data, and processes, while maintaining enterprise data security and sovereignty .
