Retail sales of goods in May 2024 reached over 16,000 billion VND

In May 2024, tourist attractions in Thanh Hoa province began to open for the summer, attracting a large number of tourists, thus creating a lever to stimulate consumption activities in the province to grow strongly compared to the first months of the year. The supply of goods is abundant, diverse and rich, serving the consumption needs of the people well. Enterprises and commercial service business units have also organized a variety of stimulus solutions through fairs, exhibitions and promotions to boost purchasing power in the market. Consumer rights protection activities, market inspection and control continue to be promoted by the Department of Industry and Trade and other interested sectors. In parallel, sectors and localities are also organizing many fairs and markets to contribute to promoting purchasing power and the ability to consume goods in the province. Accumulated in the first 5 months of 2024, total retail sales of goods and service revenue in the province is estimated at 77,706 billion VND, an increase of 12.4% over the same period.
