Quang Ninh's tourism revenue exceeds 2.3 billion USD.

By 2025, Quang Ninh province is expected to welcome over 21 million tourists, generating total revenue exceeding 57,000 billion VND, equivalent to more than 2.3 billion USD. The service sector will continue to affirm its crucial role as a driving force, contributing more than half of the province's GRDP growth.

On December 15th, the 14th Provincial People's Council of Quang Ninh Province opened its 34th session to evaluate the results of socio -economic development in 2025, discuss directions and tasks for 2026, and make decisions on matters within its authority.

Reporting at the session, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Khang stated that the province's economic growth rate in 2025 is estimated at 11.89%. Specifically, the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector is projected to grow by 3.85%; industry and construction by 10.58%; the service sector by a strong 16.40%; and product taxes by 6.31%.

Quang Ninh's economy is estimated to reach 368,445 billion VND, ranking 7th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide. The economic structure continues to shift positively towards increasing the proportion of services and industry. By the end of 2025, the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector will account for 4.63%; industry and construction 46.18%; and services and product taxes 49.19%.

Quang Ninh's per capita GRDP is estimated at 10,402 USD; social labor productivity reached 539 million VND/person, an increase of 11.9% compared to the previous year.

Notably, the total number of tourists in 2025 is estimated to reach 21.28 million, an increase of 12% compared to the same period in 2024. Total tourism revenue is expected to exceed 57,000 billion VND, an increase of 22.46%, thereby contributing over 50% to the province's GRDP growth.

State budget revenue collection achieved outstanding results. Total budget revenue in the province is estimated at 82,235 billion VND, equivalent to 149% of the central government's target and 143% of the provincial government's target, an increase of 53% compared to the same period last year. Of this, domestic revenue reached approximately 64,435 billion VND, an increase of 82% compared to 2024.

Regarding investment, total non-budgetary domestic investment reached nearly 476,000 billion VND, 15.8 times higher than in 2024. Foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2025 is estimated at approximately 1 billion USD. Social welfare sectors continue to be ensured, and national defense and security are maintained.

Speaking at the session, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Quang Ninh Provincial Delegation to the National Assembly, Quan Minh Cuong, emphasized that the key task for 2026 is to accelerate the restructuring of the economy, establish a new growth model, and use science and technology and innovation as the main driving force. The province will focus on attracting new-generation, large-scale, high-tech FDI, especially in the fields of processing and manufacturing industries, electronics, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence.

In addition, Quang Ninh continues to improve the efficiency of budget revenue and expenditure management, fostering sustainable revenue sources; accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital, striving to complete 100% of the capital plan by the end of 2026.
