
Immediately after receiving the news that many households were affected by rising floodwaters, with some people trapped in deep flooded areas, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 5 mobilized vehicles and 23 officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the scene, coordinating with local authorities and police forces of communes and wards to organize rescue.

The rescue force assisted in moving 100 people to safety and directly rescued 38 people trapped in the area of rapid water flow. At the same time, they assisted people in moving their property and essential items out of the danger zone.

This afternoon (October 31), upon receiving news that 3 mothers and children were trapped at home due to flooding in Thang Loi village (Ham Thang ward), the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 5 promptly dispatched 7 officers and soldiers to the scene, rescuing the 3 mothers and children from the flooded area to safety.

Thanks to timely direction, high sense of responsibility and smooth coordination among forces, rescue work was carried out safely and effectively, without causing any human casualties.

Faced with complicated weather conditions, the staff and soldiers of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 5 continue to be on duty, ready with forces and means to promptly respond to any natural disasters and incidents that may occur.
