Lesson 1: "Pink swallow" silently in remote areas

For nearly 20 years of persistently working with the Youth Union at a small school in the remote Thanh Tung commune, teacher Tran Van Tinh, TPTÐ teacher, Thanh Tung Secondary School, wrote a beautiful story about love for the profession, sense of responsibility and determination to overcome difficulties. Not only devoted to his profession, he is also a support and support for hundreds of poor but studious students.

In particular, in the 2019-2020 school year, Mr. Tinh was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister - a noble award recognizing the tireless dedication of a simple but inspirational teacher.

The "fire keeper" of the Young Pioneers movement

From the 2006-2007 school year until now, Mr. Tinh has been assigned as TPTD at Thanh Tung Secondary School, a unit with many difficulties in terms of facilities and a high rate of poor and near-poor students. However, he has never faltered. With the concept: "The Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers is not only an organization but also a part of comprehensive education", he has always been a pioneer in innovation in all movements and extracurricular activities.

Teacher Tran Van Tinh constantly innovates the content of Team - Association activities to increase interest and learning for team members.

Mr. Tinh proactively consults with the school's Board of Directors, the Youth Union and homeroom teachers to effectively implement cultural and sports activities, law propaganda, life skills... Major movements such as the "2 no's" movement, "Each teacher is an example of morality, self-study and creativity", or the movement "Building a friendly school, active students", are all concretized by him into specific, attractive models and programs, suitable to local conditions.

Under the guidance of Mr. Tinh, the school's Team activities are no longer just a formality but have become an environment for training ethics, personality, and arousing responsibility and sharing in students. The students not only study better but are also more active and care about the community.

In each meeting, Mr. Tran Van Tinh always emphasizes the commendation and recognition of good and active team members.

Mr. Tinh is also a “humanitarian bridge” connecting poor students with benefactors. In just 5 years, he and the Board of Directors have mobilized more than 125 million VND in cash and in kind. From that support, hundreds of practical gifts have reached the students: 75 uniforms, 13 bicycles, 37 accident insurance cards, 6 health insurance cards, 82 bags, 5,200 notebooks, and 75 study support packages worth from 500,000 to 1,000,000 VND/student.

This support not only helps students overcome difficulties to go to school but also builds confidence and motivation. Thanks to this, many students who once intended to quit school have returned to class; many shy and self-conscious students have now become excellent team members and exemplary class officers.

Persistently sow love

The persistent and silent contributions of Mr. Tran Van Tinh have been recognized with many prestigious awards: Excellent TPTD teacher at provincial level (2010), Mekong Delta level (2013), Outstanding TPTD teacher at national level (2015); Central Level I Trainer (2017) and Central Level II Trainer (2020); "For the young generation" Commemorative Medal (2021).

Teacher Tran Van Tinh continuously participates in the national Kim Dong training camp to learn more experience from other team and association cadres and improve his own capacity in work.

Mr. Tinh has been awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level for 10 consecutive years (2009-2020); received 8 Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province; 3 times received Certificates of Merit from the Central Youth Union; 5 consecutive years as a Party member with excellent performance; 10 initiatives recognized at the district level and 1 initiative recognized at the provincial level. He was awarded "Excellent performance" by the Dam Doi District Party Committee, Ca Mau province (old) for 5 consecutive years (2016-2020).

In particular, in the 2019-2020 school year, he was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, a rare and noble award for a teacher in a remote area, proving the value of a teacher who "teaches with heart, lives with virtue".

Every activity of Mr. Tran Van Tinh is lively and inspiring for the team members.

Marking a journey of nearly 20 years of quietly spreading knowledge and spreading the fire, in 2025, Mr. Tran Van Tinh was honored to be one of 80 outstanding teachers nationwide to receive the "Pink Swallow" award from the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, an award honoring outstanding young pioneers with outstanding achievements in the work of the Young Pioneers and the children's movement. It is not just a title, but the crystallization of decades of quietly sowing love and cultivating life values ​​for generations of students.
